Half Resolve? Moving in the Right Direction, We’re Ba-a-a-c-k

On Monday, Apr. 11^th our wake-up time was normal, before 7. Gibbs and I went for our walk and meandered down by the lake again. It is nice for both of us, seeing the water which is somewhat cooling. Actually, this morning was beautiful for walking again. 59F/15C. Gibbs still didn’t go in the water but he got close at one point and jumped back. 😊

Bill dumped and flushed tanks, added fresh water to half full and then we made our tea and coffee. Yes, we figured out a way to have a coffee. It isn’t perfect but Bill missed his morning brew. He went out next to put our mat, barbecue, satellite dish while I worked away inside. We were both surprised when Vic, our mobile repair guy, called and said he was on his way. It was only 8:30 so that beat his original ‘late morning, early afternoon’ timing. Yay! 😊

No more Palm trees but Saguaros, Ocotillos
and Cholla cacti were making appearances

He was at our place before 9 and I took Gibbs to the dog park so Bill could talk to him without distracting barking. LOL So I don’t mess up the explanation and so Bill doesn’t have to write a new post, here is his version of what we’ve discovered in the resolution. After checking through our Suite, he could find no electrical faults. We determined that it was the campground electrical post where the problem started.

They did that by using our generator first, then the inverter and lastly by plugging into our neighbours rv.  Everything worked fine inside by testing those 3 sources but once we plugged into the post, the fridge light blinked continuously and the microwave light/clock went out. Obviously, it was the park’s fault. You may ask, ‘will they accept the blame and pay for our repairs?’ and the answer to that is a resounding ‘No!’, they didn’t even admit to the fault.

We’ve held our heads high and will remember that. 😊 At 11 am, we pulled out of Yuma Lakes RV resort and reached the now familiar Roadrunner BLM down the road from Quartszite. This time, we’re headed in the right direction but I sure did enjoy the pool every day. ♥  It’s a cooler day forecasted today, in Yuma and here in the desert. The winds are incredibly strong, or so it seems, but we are grateful.

Once we were settled, (jacks down, slides out etc.) we drove over to La Posa South to reconnect with my sister and hubby. Then a quick trip into town for fuel, a couple of food items and more ice. We are buying about 28 lbs. per day. Our meat is thawing so I’m not as good as packing the ice as I’d hoped but if nothing else, we’ll be sharing our freezer fare on the way home. LOL

Tonight, we’ll have sausages for supper, cooked indoors. Now that we know the generator will run our appliances (we didn’t want to do this if there was a Suite short), I feel a whole lot better about our meals. We are all back on track, we’ll meet with Gayle and John in the morning at the entrance to La Posa South and then head off together. ♥ They will be helpful to us by perhaps making coffee for us in the mornings and freezing our ice packs each evening. 😊 Seems a fair trade.

This is an early sign off, no more pictures and no more stories for today. We’re enjoying the breeze coming through our home. Gibbs has been good all day, a little mischievous while in their Montana, but pretty good. Finally, now at 4 pm, he has found undisturbed sleep for the first time today. He has had so much going on! 😉

He has been sleeping  lot since we got home from town.
