A Prayer for Rick, Laundry, Puzzle, Painting, St. Patrick’s Day

Park Place RV Park

On Friday, Mar. 17th the day started most like any other. I think that I wouldn’t have much to write about today (since when has that ever stopped me?) but then I manage to jot things down anyway. Today, Rick, the Manager of the park is in our prayers. Yesterday, Patti took him to Phoenix hospital for an appointment. Rick has been having heart issues for quite some time.

What a pretty sky first thing
Clouds DO make the picture

I tried to get the suns rays in this photo

This morning, after sorting our dirty clothes, I took the basket over and loaded 2 machines. Bill left for the field and for the next couple of hours, I finished the laundry. It’s nice to be first in there and it was 7:15 when I unlocked the door to the clubhouse. On my way back from loading the machine, I stopped and chatted with Gerald, one of the 3 hosts.

Yah, why not?
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Since Patti had told me of Rick’s troubles, I asked about him. I knew the hosts would be kept in the loop. Gerald told me that Rick had immediate surgery with a pacemaker being inserted (installed?). Hence, the prayers, Rick and Patti are such nice people and we’d hate to lose either one of them for any reason. After putting my clothes away, I went back to work on the puzzle, managing to finish it by 11:30. 😊

Walking with Gibbs, we saw
this transport in the lot ahead aptly celebrating
the day too

For lunch, I had a fried quesadilla-type wrap and then sat and finished my book. It was good right to the end; Michael Connelly is another author who knows how to spin a web of mystery. It was a bit windy but a warm day under a sunny sky so I went to the gazebo and painted a couple more rocks and personalized them all on the backside. I will leave a few in the park when we leave.

Such a pretty picture!
1000 pieces done and done

Gibbs and I went for our afternoon walk around 4:30 and it was still nice enough at 70F/21C to walk with a sleeveless top. A green one for St. Patrick’s Day. There are a few people leaving next week, slowly heading home, so the park is thinning out. A couple that I spoke to leave their rv’s here for the summer and just drive home. There are many here from Minnesota so since they still have snow, they will not be in a rush to return.

Just a few of my sttempts
at artistry

For supper, we had leftover stew with an added vegetable. Maybe a piece of French bread along with it. 😊 It has been a peaceful mild day and we’ve enjoyed it to the fullest. The wind is from the north so the gazebo is bouncing a bit.

The temperatures for the remainder
of March are quite nice

The forecast continues to be up and down over the next 10 days but mostly UP which is the good news. One final note; Congratulations to my daughter, Bridgette, for accomplishing 20 years in her career of Operations Manager at Regency Fireplace Products. ♥
