The Calm Before the Wind, Spring Arrives, Friends Leave

Park Place RV Park

Bill and Gibbs were up and out the door by 6:30 this morning, Monday, Mar. 20th.  Hey, it is the first day of spring! Today, the forecast is for a high of 75F/24C which will be the best day for a while. The temperature will be dropping again and the winds will be picking up, possibly bringing some rain.

The start of our day

In case you’re wondering, Gibbs is still weighing each outing with his trepidation. Sometimes, he’s gung ho with no hesitation, especially in daylight hours. At night, you never know so we play it by ear. Some nights, he goes out but doesn’t piddle and manages to go from 6:30 pm to 6:30 am before having to go ‘potty’. 😊 He has a good bladder!

They were just hooking up the car when
we walked over

See you in November!

When we got up at 7, I hopped into the shower and then Bill and I walked over for one more goodbye to Kobos and Carol Ann. I really wanted to get a picture of them together plus I wanted to put a memento on their vehicle. Which we did after a couple more hugs. It is still sad to see them go but we’ll see them in November.

We sat together after lunch
Gibbs checking on Daddy while
he vainly sat on Mom

I took Gibbs for a very short walk and then went over to Ladies Poker Pool. Only 4 of us today and I lost badly or is it losing well? 😊 We had fun all the same and I was home for lunch.

Lunch with Priceville syrup

Today was pancakes and they were good. Another nice switcheroo from the norm. After we ate, I walked back to the puzzle for a couple of hours. Adele and I made more progress and at 4 we parted ways.

At least now the bottom border is correct

For supper, we had meatballs, mashed potatoes and a veggie. Yum, a nice meal.

Delicious

While watching our Monday night programs, and recording others, I worked on my blog. This has been a great day for the first day of spring and we’ll get back to our warm weather soon enough.

This is what we put on the
motorhome's antenna, secretly.
Later, we got a text to indicate they noticed it 💖
Good night!

Thank you for stopping around.

  1. Cute memento for your friends. Time is getting short. I'll be heading home this week too.

  2. Dog's have good memories. Maybe when he gets home to his wooden steps he'll forget the steps issue.
    He's sweet.

  3. Winter has not loosened it's grip here in Saskatchewan. I know the calendar says it is nearly April, but I can't wrap my head around the fact it is nearing the time the snowbirds return. Enjoy your day.

  4. I agree with Loree ... although dogs do have memories like elephants!! It was a nice 75 degree day here ... the first time my heater didn't turn on. See you soon!!

  5. Time is getting short for all of us. Hopefully we get some warm weather before we head off into the east and the north. We can take those memories with us to sustain us on our cold trek home. Lol.

    God bless.
