The Week Begins, An Addition to Poker Pool

Park Place RV Park

On Monday, Mar. 6th we began our day and week pretty much the same as usual. However, today was a little slower for some reason. I did some stretches before getting up, as I did at bedtime, and hoped they would help my back. Bill took his time getting ready for the field and Gibbs and I got out for our walk. I was surprised at how warm it was and only needed a windbreaker.

Last night when I finished my blog,
guess who was in my chair. ♥

At 9:15, I walked over to the clubhouse and met Patti and Barb, all ready to get the game going. Adele and Susan joined us but Dora was on duty so opted to stay in the office with her sinuses acting up. Things changed up when Sheila, Patti’s cousin who comes up to watch us play and knows nothing about pool, let us talk her into playing.

The sky was beautiful again

She did very well and although she only got 3 games in, she’s coming back on Thursday. We had a lot of fun again today and I tied for second with our best pool shark. Bill and Gibbs met me as I came out of the building and we walked home together for lunch.

Lunch was a variety of tastes

Mine was a cold plate and it hit the spot. I wanted to read a bit before going to start the next puzzle and when I went over at 1:30, Adele, Susan and Robert had the border done (yay!). Susan and I finished it just before 3. Easy peasy.

An easy 500 piece puzzle

Back home, I also managed to finish the Robert Dugoni book. Excellent! Bill will read it next. 😊 For supper we had the poor man’s supper again, wieners and Kraft dinner. The wieners were great, Red Hots are the best. We watched The Voice and 9-1-1 tonight since NCIS and NCIS Hawaii were reruns. This was a great day with temperatures reaching 65F/18C however with very little sun, it didn’t feel that warm.

Simple but filling supper
Good night!

Thank you for the visit to see what we’re up to.

  4. Gibbs is so cute! Loved your lunch plate. I love shot dogs but never have liked macaroni and cheese, other than the one my brother in law used to make, but that takes to long LOL.

    1. I have to agree about Gibbs but that is not unbiased. :) . I prefer mac and cheese made from scratch too.

  5. Love the sky pictures. I love Mac and cheese but Jerry doesn't. Sometimes I'll buy Stouffers Mac and cheese for me. Warm sunny days are just around the corner!

    1. Thank you Elva. A box in the cupboard is handy on those 'I don't know what to have nights'.

    1. It really was. The meal was a cheat and not so great for us but it's good in a pinch and always fills us. :)

  7. Thanks, I like how you call them laid-back days where really we are being quite lazy. ♥
