Park Place RV Park
On Wednesday, Nov. 6th the winds had returned. No surprise as we’d been checking the forecast and knew it was expected. Darn it all! The good news is that down here, the sun usually shines, regardless. Very rarely we have cloudy skies, Arizona – the Sunshine State, it is true. π
I got up by 7 and went for my ‘almost’ mile walk right away. It wasn’t windy yet so it was a pleasant walk. The thermometer was reading 51F/11C. With Bill not flying this morning, he had agreed to go to the park’s Coffee Hour (Meet the Staff) with me at 9. I hoped for the new managers that it would be a decent turnout – it was. I think 16 park residents showed up and we all had coffee and donuts.
On my walk, this palm tree
intrigued me.
Lots of seeds hanging low. Is it a date palm? Hmmm. |
Bill hit
it off with a model plan enthusiast and we all had something to chat about.
When Bill left around 10 (?), I stayed and worked on the puzzle until noon. It
is coming along quite nicely. Back home, we had ham sandwiches and I recorded
Bill’s expenditures from this morning. He got a propane bottle filled, picked
up some milk at the new Dollar General and a hobby item.
It isn’t a barbecue day so I got out ground beef for supper. Spaghetti it is! My spaghetti squash is sitting on the counter, ready to be eaten. π My boys went upstairs to watch tv and snooze and I stayed down here with my J.P. book. It just isn’t pleasant to be outdoors unless you are walking – which I will do later with Gibbs. We did get out a couple of times but in the wind, he chickened out the second time, only going a short distance.
The Palo Verde trees are always so neat. |
Last
night on Live TV, I watched a good special honouring Toby Keith. It was
heart-warming and quite touching to watch. I enjoy his music a lot and it was
nice to see his family in attendance. ♥ Supper was great and filling with the Pillsbury crescent rolls on the
side. There were a lot of pots to wash but it was worth it.
This is how the puzzled ended up today.
It has me scratching my head a lot! πOh, it's been so long since we've had a spaghetti meal.
It was delicious!
We were
done by 6 so I could watch Survivor. Yes, BEFORE I finished my blog! But I wanted
to pay full attention, I do love the suspense and it was another surprise tonight. π This has been a good day, although windy again. We reached a
warm enough high of 68F/20C with clear sunny skies. Looking forward to a calmer
day tomorrow.
I had to zoom in but this picture is special
because it is the FIRST time Gibbs curled up in
Clemson's bed which I pulled out of the memory
cupboard earlier in the week. πππ
Good night.
Thank you for your visit.
Gibbs looks so sweet. I know how annoying wind can be, but I'll bet that gazebo really helps.
ReplyDeleteGibbs has such cute facial expressions .. just like Coop. Sorry about the wind, but I expect this year will be different than any other. Hope they continue the donut meeting when I get there! LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Clemson would approve of Gibbs using his bed - he fits perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI understand wind is quite normal in that area, though I do hope things calm down for you. Have a great day!
Seems to be a lot of blindsides this season on Survivor.. we're cooler with winds each day, also.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your post I listened to Toby Keith sing
ReplyDeleteDon't let the old man in,
great song,thanks for the
prompt to find that. Have a good and blessed night -Mary
