Laundry and Quilts! Finishing Things

Park Place RV Park

On Sunday, Nov. 10th it was around 7 when I woke up and got moving. Bill came up and we sorted laundry before he hopped in the shower. It wasn’t an overflowing basket this week so I carried it over and began the 2 loads. Laundry took precedence over my walk.

Good morning!
This may be our last clear sunrise view
from the Suite's door. Read on.

After I swapped the clothes from washers to dryers, I strapped on my pouch and walked to the east, alone, in the residential neighbourhood. I knew the yard sale was on for the last day today and that she was marking everything 50% off. Wow! There were things I had reconsidered IF they were still there. At 8:30, the gates weren’t yet opened.

I returned to the clubhouse with 15 minutes left on the machines and sat at the puzzle until the clothes finished. 😊 I worked on the puzzle until almost 11, took Gibbs out for his short jaunt, and then walked back to the sale location. Her gates were open and there were at least 6 vehicles lined up and many shoppers in her yard. A lot had been sold, she had a lot of sales yesterday and people were lined up to pay. Like I said, my kind of sale!

A cute ornamental robot outside
her side gates.
Her home and yard is huge!

I bee-lined to the Christmas quilts that I saw on Friday. Even then, the prices were only $15 & $20 but today, ½ off? I grabbed all 3, one is a king and 2 queens. There was a set of scanners c/w headphones etc. that Bill said he might like to try so I picked those up as well for $15. People were cashing in like crazy and I’m sure the owner was happy things were going to good homes.

Not hand made but still lovely
and seasonal.

Quilts are heavy, oh my, what have I done? Ha! Bill was still out with the truck so I took my time and lugged them all back home. I’m pleased though and will either keep them all, sell some or give some to family. We’ll see. For sure, one will be on our bed over the Christmas season. Ho ho ho!

The puzzle is done.
Until I finish the story that came with it,
the mystery still looms. 😂

We had sandwiches for lunch and sat outside together in the gazebo and it was then that our neighbour returned with his American Eagle. He has been gone since we arrived and apparently, journeys throughout the winter. Walt seems like a nice man and we all introduced ourselves, including noisy Gibbs. 😊 I finished my book and then after Bill went back to Jim’s, I went to the puzzle.

Gibbs ate 2 meals today and is tired out.
Not from long walks though! ♥

Sue closed the office at 4 and at 4:10, I turned lights off in the games area and returned home. The puzzle is as done as it will ever be, but sadly, missing 2 pieces. It was a fun one to do though, with no picture to follow. I brought the story book home to read The Taxing Murder and learn what all those clues and evidence mean.

supper was ooey gooey good.

Bill had my tea ready to be made and although we hadn’t really planned supper, we agreed on grilled cheese tonight. Works for me! They were good, mine with the addition of sliced onions. We cleaned up the cups and fry pan and watched tv for the evening. This has been another nice day. Perfect weather, 80F/27C,  shopping fun and puzzles. 😊

Now, looking out our door,
an American Eagle blocks our morning view.
That's okay, we expected Walt to return to his site.
Good night!

Thank you for popping in and for your comments.

  5. I like the pillows!!! That's one good thing about my small van ... there will be no buying stuff because there's no room to PUT stuff!! I have always admired that "rabbit"! I wonder if she is selling the house?

    1. Haha, they are quilts all folded into bags. And you, the quilt queen!
No sale of the house yet. It is humongous! She is still healthy enough but I bet she has more sales, they say her house is full.

  6. Incredible prices for the quilts, especially considering the cost of material. You did good! :)
Shame that your view is blocked, but if he travels throughout the winter, you may have an open space again soon.
Enjoy that lovely weather - it's right around freezing here every morning, though we're still having warmer than normal weather for November.
