A Sunny Hump Day, Crafting, Riding, Happy Hour

Park Place RV Park

On Wednesday, Dec. 18th I slept soundly until 6:30. I never heard Bill and Gibbs get up at 6 because I was so lost in dreams. Stupid dreams. It was a warmer morning, 46F/7C so I didn’t need my windbreaker over my fleece jacket. It was a great walk but even though I waited until 7:20 to leave, I was still home before the sun rose. 😊

Good morning!
Not an impressive picture
unless you note that this is our horizon
each day and these mountains only improve
in appearance as the sun rests on them.

The rest of the morning fell right into play, pretty much, and was gone before I knew it. I took Gibbs for his walk before 9 and walked to the clubhouse. Patty was a bit under the weather so after Coffee Hour, I hitched a ride with Jess to her class at Desert Camel. This is the 3rd class for me. There were 7 attendees this time, her biggest class yet. We had a great time, 4 of us were ‘regulars’ and 3 were new to quilling. There were a lot of laughs, chatter and we were still done by 12 noon.

This is a better picture of the library
tree.

Bill and I had lunch when I returned, minced ham, lettuce, and cheese sandwiches. I’m really enjoying this Soja bread. I could have gone to the puzzle but I decided to take my chair and book over to the sunshine and try and finish the last 3 chapters. It felt wonderful to just relax and soak up some rays. I haven’t done that much since we arrived.

The sun gets ready to rise just
as I'm turning into the park.

Around 3:15 or so, I decided to leave it though and take my wheels for a spin. I need a name and will soon choose a suitable one. 😊 You know me! I had a nice ride around the big block. My legs still need some practice because I was very glad to turn into our site. A great cardiac, muscle and bone exercise! I’m glad Santa came to me early.

This is my craft today.
It is hanging on my tree.

This is another one of Jess's creations.
I had to buy it for our tree.

Patty and Duncan joined us for H.H., yes, she was feeling much better, and when they left at 5, Bill helped Bette finish putting her new Blackstone bbq together. She does a lot on her own but when help is needed, Bill will always step up, if he can. I took Gibbs for his walk around the park while the convection oven pre-heated and then we had fish and chips for supper. They were delicious!

My walk with Gibbs and we can see
the pink mountains in the east as the sun sets.

After we cleaned up, Bill had his shower and will watch a movie upstairs. I will watch the finale of Survivor downstairs but that will be after I finish this post. It has been a lovely day from beginning to end. We reached a very warm 75F/24C and that is what we’ll be seeing here until Christmas Day. Bring it on!

Our supper was good.
Good night!

Thank you for stopping by. Your comments mean a lot to me.

  1. Another nice day in the sun! It almost looks odd to see a Christmas tree without snow.
    The paper crafts are pretty.

    1. Yes it was a nice day. I agree, it certainly is not a traditional Christmas tree.

  2. The angel is too cute. I would love to make some of those for my tree. Maybe Jess or you can tell me where to get supplies.
