The Ridge
On Tuesday, June 17th we were all up before 7. As I mentioned yesterday, Bill took the day off for his appointment. Just a follow-up consultation on the whole ♥ murmur thing. Nothing to worry about.

| Good morning! |
So, I stripped the bed of the warm sheets and took them and our bath towels into town. There were two snappers in the softest area (the centre) of the lane, almost back to back, digging nests. I slowly drove over them and looked back to be sure they didn't leave. π

You are one ugly Mama but
you're still a mama. π
She was still there when I returned from
town but later, she had abandoned the digging.
They were still there so I carried on, smiling. At the end of the lane, where our dirt pile was, there was another one. The snappers are getting desperate to lay and are everywhere!π’On Baptist Church Rd. just about 200' from the corner, another one at the side of the road.

Last night, this guy had a mind of his own. He accepted a 'new to him' cookie, buried it in the quilt after numerous attempts and then went to sleep in Mom's chair. |
In town, Trudy was doing her laundry and we carried on where we left off. I really enjoy our conversations, she is polite, considerate and has a great sense of humour. There were other customers in and out, all pleasant, and after a 'clean up on aisle 1', I finished up with the sheets etc. and drove home.
Bill had his own stuff going on this morning, adding an extra shelf in his cargo trailer. Each little thing he does, makes transporting his planes that much easier. At least he believes so at the time and only time will tell if it worked that way. π

My tall irises are making appearances.
So pretty.
I went into the Bunky until noon and added some colour to M's picture. I think that improved it a lot and then I put it aside to start a new puzzle. This one is from Donna and it looks like a fun picture to work on. I'm thinking it will go quickly, we'll see.

Someone finds the coolest spots
when we are busy outside.
But when we sit in this chair, he's on our lap.
Such an affectionate dude!
We had lunch, just a snack of cheese, yogourt and a bun for me, and left the Suite at 12:45 for Owen Sound hospital. It was a bit of a wait inside until he got called in, but not a ridiculous wait. No worries, this is important stuff.

This will be a fun puzzle.
I got the border done quickly and started
on the building.....but forgot a picture.
When we left, he had no further follow up this year, no stress test etc. (yay!) and will go back in May for the same consult. π Peace of mind. We drove to Canadian Tire, Michael's (I got wood pieces for my crafts) and then Walmart for our groceries.

It was a nice drive to Owen Sound
but coming home, the traffic was a bit crazy.
It's nice to get off the main highway.
We walked out of there after leaving a large deposit but it was expected and we had a lot of food etc. Even Gibbs got treats this time! We were home by 4:45 and unloaded by 5. It was warm inside but there was a nice breeze coming in the windows.

A friend asked me for a pix
of the dress, modeled.
I wore it shopping today and it was
very comfy.
Hey, to my fellow Arizonians! It is 30C/88F this afternoon but with the humidity counted in, 37C/100F. We are feeling a bit of what you are BUT we have a lovely breeze. π I don't think ours will last like yours so I'm surely not complaining!

A couple more of our little bum.
For supper, we will have air fried shrimp. Bill will make fries for himself and I'll get a vegetable for myself. While my boys had a snooze, I brought the sheets and towels in for the cupboard. Together, we made the bed with cooler sheets. I think we are past the cool nights!

Shrimp, mashed cauliflower
and a drumstick for dessert.
Compliments brand. They were cheap (on sale)
but not the best we've had.\
Cooled us off though!
This was a great day! I hope you enjoyed yours. We reached a high of 30C/88F (37C/100F with the humidity) today. Thankful for the lovely breeze. The forecast is for some rain, possible storms, through the wee morning hours. The rain would be welcome.
Trust me, this is quite the performance.
Good night y'all!
Thank you for stopping in.

Gibbs has the cutest little face ~ SMOOCH :) YUP, it's hot today and the next few days then down to low 100's!! No humidity though. Don't miss that from growing up in Minn. or shoveling snow - ISH. Have landscapers to trim a few shrubs here!! May have a drumstick like you in a few hours! :) I'm getting my "Green Fix" enjoying all your pictures. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYour dress looks great on!! Very pretty!
Thank you, I totally agree about that cute face! He gets away with a LOT!
DeleteYes, I'm trying not to complain about the humidity! haha (it's hard!)
The drumsticks are not the best but still cooling and tasty.
The dress is nice in that colour. I really liked it white (it's lined) but had no where fancy enough to wear white!
That kid is so funny! He's always been good at burying stuff!! Saving it for a late night snack. The dress looks great! It was a good idea to dye it. So who didn't teach that gal to do laundry??
ReplyDeleteYes, he is. He finally ate it at some point - and the next one Daddy gave him.
DeleteThank you, I like the dress too.
About the laundry? Exactly!!! Her sister told her it was concentrated so she only needed a bit. LOL Too late!
Goodness, you really got the heat! We reached 25C yesterday but it was cloudy off and on, with a breeze so didn't seem that warm. We did get some rain last night too.
ReplyDeleteI do hope some of the turtle mamas see some eggs hatch this year. Though it must happen because you always seem to have turtles.
Yes, it got hot in a hurry! Trying not to complain, we've been waiting for it - part of it.
DeleteYou're right, the babies must survive, some of them for sure.
Love the dress, blue is perfect! It's always a relief when tests turn out ok! Congrats Bill! I guess some people believe more is better...but not in the soap department! LOL... Shirley
ReplyDeleteThank you, I only had blue dye so glad it turned out nice. Kind of denim colour.
DeleteYes, good results at a hospital is always good!
You're right, more is good unless it is soap!
The dress turned out very well. It looks nice and cool for those hot summer days.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
It was nice to get some actual warmth! We took advantage and went on our longest expedition yet, up to Lions Head! Now can you arrange for the warm weather to stick around!
