Lovely Day, Lovely Visitor!

 The Ridge

On Wednesday, Sept. 17th I woke up confused. Hmm, do I clean today? Did I clean the Mat yesterday? Oh, how I dislike this aging process! Thinking it through, I got up at 6:30, said goodbye to Bill at 6:45 and drove into town at 7. Yup, a cleaning day.

Good morning!
Are these not the fanciest mushrooms
you've ever seen?
They are at Robin's house.
Shaggy InkCaps.
It would be fun to watch the one in the
bottom corner open up.
I think they're gorgeous!

Alone again, yay, so I emptied the Lost & Found. Tossed the single socks that have been there for over a week in the garbage and washed three t-shirts, 2 yoga-type stretch pants and brought them home to hang. I was out in an hour. The 6 machines are still in need of repair........

After picking what was ready,
all that is left are these baby green tomatoes.
The Brussel Sprout plants have started
growing again. Good grief!

At home, I went up on the berm and tossed a few apples over the fence. There were just too many and it was too hot to do them all without a rake. I cleaned off the east end and the white stones and gave up. Bill won't be cutting grass tonight anyway.

Not too excited, only 3 small peppers
this year. 😔

I was happy when, after lunch, my Buddy and Bella drove up the lane. It is always nice to see her and we both chastise ourselves for not making our visits more frequent. We fall in the 'bad' good friends category. 😅😇 So, we understand each other!

Look at this mess!
I started hand picking them up,
but there are too many.
Decided to slip my sandals off and
do some 'grounding' at the same time.

I sat in the sun for a while this morning but after 30 minutes, I was just too hot. Oh dear, is that age too? Gibbs hung around outside in the shade in between keeping me company when I did some more quilling. I've got two projects on the go. I'm soon to be on the waiting list for a table, I finally heard.

So frustrating!
In the spring, the trees are coming down.
My berm garden is full of the apples too.

My last delivery (for now) arrived around 4 and it was a package of various sized plastic bags for cards, earrings and bookmarks. Now I should have plenty for the winter months. Bill was home a bit earlier, by 5:15 so that was nice.

Gibbs was quite comfy outside most of
the day. He slept a lot, deeply.
His little snores make me smile.💓

For supper, he had fries, I had my keto rice, spinach and we both had shrimp. Not many in the package so we ate them all. A cheap meal for $7.99. After the little bit of clean up and Bill's lunch was made, he went to the Hangar.

What a wonderful day!
I wish I'd taken a pix of my Buddy
and Bella but my phone was inside.

This has been a nice day. We reached a high of 27C/81F and the air was as calm as I've ever seen it. Not a titch of a breeze all day. Very unusual for up here on The Ridge. Hopefully, I'll get the apples cleaned up tomorrow, a few degrees cooler. 😀

It was a good supper.
Good night!

Thank you for your visit.

  3. Sometimes setting aside our devices and just being in the moment, especially with a good friend, is the best place to be. Glad you were able to get in a visit.

  4. How lovely that you got a nice visit in with your friend. I also have some strange looking mushrooms growing in our lawn. I think it is because of all the rain we have had over the last half week, more coming tonight.

    God bless.

    1. Thank you Jackie, it was short but certainly sweet.
The mushrooms are so interesting, we've had few plain ones on our lawn where they've never been before too.
The rain is coming here on Sunday and Monday by the forecast now.
