Hump Day, A Short Ride

Park Place RV Park

On Wednesday, Nov. 19th Gibbs slept in until 6:15 and then could wait no longer. He crept up (seriously) in between us and lay across Bill's neck. Time to wake up Daddy! So cute, he tried not to move too much too early, I was awake just before 6 and watched him.

Good morning!

Bill got ready to go flying and I made a tea since we weren't walking until 8. I had an orange, thank you Jim, and met Diane and Sue at a few minutes ahead of time. We did our walk around the park a couple of times and even though only 15 minutes, it was getting us out.

Lots of clouds today

I met the Coffee gang in the clubhouse at 9 and Sue had baked a tasty little blueberry loaf. There were 7 of us today, a little more chit chat. Before returning home, I worked on the puzzle until 11:30. Bill was home at noon for lunch and when he settled back for a snooze, I did some crocheting.

Top half done.
Now, just leaves and logs
to do.

My hobbies/crafts come to me in spurts and right now it feels good to work with yarn. 😃 Bill went over to Jim's again to work on a plane and I crocheted more. Taking the advice of my friends aka mamas, I took Lila to the corner and back. That was enough!

It felt better, the short distance and a wise decision. 😉 and then made a dish of apple crisp. Madame IP will do the baking and only take a few minutes so I left it sit and at 3:15 made a tea and went to the puzzle for an hour.

Supper was good.

For supper, we air fried chicken thighs and I pan fried potatoes. With dessert tonight, we just had pickles for our vegetable. Everything was great and filling. We cleaned up the air fryer and fry pan by hand and started the dishwasher. I used the inner pot for the crisp so it wasn't empty yet. yay!

The apple crisp turned out
great in the IP.
Good night!

This has been a good day with a little bit of a few things. We reached 66F/16C with a lot of clouds from early morning to late afternoon. No rain today though but maybe more in the coming days.

Thank you for popping in.

  1. The apple crisp looks deeeeliscious!!
Glad you were able to get a short ride. That puzzle looks very challenging, but you always seem to finish them in record time. I finished one I picked up at the thrift store and it was missing five pieces...I didn't keep it, but put it in the garbage. There's another on the shelf...not sure how long it will stay there. :)

    1. Oh and it is deeeelicious! haha
The puzzle is challenging but I do love it. It is frustrating when you discover that people donate those with pieces missing. Very aggravating!

    1. Ha ha, oh my, it was/is very good!
I use bacon grease too for frying my potatoes, and always add extra butter.

  3. I've found lots of desserts that come out great in an IP. Even CAKE!! Glad the short ride worked out. It takes awhile to work up to long bike rides.

    1. I've not made too many desserts in it but what I've made has turned out great. I should try cake next, although I don't eat much cake. Hmmm.
Thank you for the tip on the bike rides, I'll try every other day getting out.

  4. Hmm, I really must try and use my instant pot for dessert. Mind you when I make dessert it is usually done when I bake bread so as to fill the oven. Got to make sure to fill that so as to save on electric costs.
Glad the bike ride was nice. Short rides for the first while and then lengthen them a bit at a time is the best idea.

    God bless.
