Laundry Day, Puzzling and Oh, A Happy Hour!

Park Place Rv Park

On Sunday, Dec. 7th the day started off with me getting up at 6:30. I felt slept out and it gave us the chance to sort laundry early and get it started. I knew we could be in and out of there before Jim (another early bird) needed the machines. 😊

Good morning!
Our little tent is lit up for Christmas too.

10 minutes later.

Bill left for the flying field and I went back and forth keeping an eye on the clothes' progress. I stayed and worked on the puzzle for about an hour after they were folded in the basket and chatted with Bette and Jim. He arrived when I was finished so our timing was perfect.

Pop! there it is.

Back at home, I took Gibbs for his walk and noticed some limping but only occasionally. I can't see anything in his foot pads so wonder if it his long claws and hair between the 'toes' that is bothering him. We'll keep an eye on it, just aren't going to Walmart for another few days.

Bette has the clubhouse decorated,
inside and out.

Gibbs and I sat outside when we got back, he in his bed and me in my chair. I picked up this 'create'-type book so worked on a few things inside it. It's just for fun.

Can you see the little guy in his
bed? He went straight to it
when we came from his walk.

Bill was home for lunch and I made us an omelette for a change. He had stopped at Roadrunner for milk and bread and came home with a freshly made loaf of French bread. Unfortunately, it is delicious and we eat it! 😅

This is an interesting book.
I'll have fun with some of the challenges.

I went back to the puzzle for another hour and a half before returning home for Happy Hour.

Almost done!

Because our 'patio' is in the shade, when Ken and Kim arrived we moved our chairs into the empty site between ours and the Duchaine's. There was sun there.

Happy Hour
Well, we started out in the sun!

Today was a warm day again but it took its time getting there. We started at 43F/6C. This afternoon, our high was 74F/22C and the sky remained clear all day long. Bill took Gibbs for a walk, or more like a run, as the little guy showed no discomfort. Go figure!?

The sun begins to set

For supper, we had shrimp, leftover dressing for Bill and root vegetables for me. It was filling but we found room for a piece of Yogourt Cake with raspberry topping. Today, my sister Gayle and her husband, John, left Roadrunner blm.

Supper was filling

Soon, they will be crossing the border into Mexico for the rest of the winter. We wish them well and safe travels. This has been a nice day, all in all and we won't be quite as cold over the next few nights, That will be welcome.

Thank you for your visit.

  1. I've decided French Bread should be a staple. It's so easy to make, and so GOOD!! The puzzle is coming along fast!!

  2. It's warmed up here, only -14C this morning, instead of -21C. :p Of course, that mean the snow is falling too. I am missing the warm temps of Yuma!
I cannot do the challenges in those books. I get frustrated when I can't figure things out and have to look to the solutions. Then I think, duh...I'm dumb! That or I have no patience. :)
    Good luck and enjoy.

    1. Is like to say 'oh good!' About your tennis but -14 sets my teeth chattering. 😅
Soon you will be back in warm temps.
This book is not that kind. It's just creating what they ask you to. No solves at all. It just uses any creative juices we have! ! I know you have lots!

  3. That is an interesting little book. Enjoy. Now it isn't it strange that Gibbs does not limp when Bill runs with him.....

    God bless.
