Getting it out of the Way, Cloudy Warm Day

On Monday, Mar. 17th we were all awake and moving at 5:30. I didn't get out of bed until closer to 6. Bill and I were washed, dressed and out the door at 7, just as planned. We had our last dental cleaning appointments in Los Algodones at 8 am. I was a bit out of sorts (well my leg was) for some reason, after those few great days, so we wanted to have time for hop-a-long to walk in. 😁

Good morning!

We arrived at the parking lot before 7:30 and were waiting at the dentist office for them to open at 7:45. Perfect timing. My appointment was no picnic, a cleaning AND an extraction but it went smooth enough and we walked out with $165 less in our pocket. Can't beat that! We wasted no time walking through the vendors and picked up our medications at a pharmacy. They will get us through the summer and then some, easily. Bill needed a haircut so we found his 'gal' at Noely's shop.

It was 10 to 10 when we got to the 'checkout' line and we walked right out with only 2 people ahead of us to security. That certainly made up for our last visit in February! We were home by 10:30 and I took some Ibuprofen and went upstairs to watch some tv with Gibbs. I knew the freezing would be out soon and thought I might drop off. However, I got too interested in the Midsomer Murders episode that I didn't. 😂 I came down and we had lunch together. Just a smoothie for me with yogourt, milk, banana and pineapple.

I felt quite relieved to have that appointment out of the way, I hate getting work done! It was a semi-cloudy day, or maybe semi-sunny, but a lovely warm temperature from early morning. It was 80F/27C by the time we finished lunch. I wasn't feeling up to going to the pool so went upstairs again. That's where I spent the next two hours and even though I didn't feel tired, I know I dozed. At 3, we went outside for Happy Hour and our neighbours joined us with their chairs.

Today, my drink was simple. Salt water was enough to quench my thirst and NOT irritate the extra hole in my mouth. As usual, conversation flowed as did the laughter. Ken informed me that he went to the pool and hot tub for a bit this afternoon and was quite impressed. I sure hope to get there tomorrow with a full day of sunshine. For supper, I made Bill a grilled cheese sandwich with the reheated mac & cheese. I was going to have the same but better judgement had me warming up a pot of cream of chicken soup.😋

While I made supper, Bill took Gibbs out
for a walk. I was in a bit of discomfort so was
grateful. 💖

Tonight was our NCIS night but we missed the beginning at 6 so put some Calgary news on until 7. This was a good day. Not the way I want my days to start but it turned out okay. LOL I'm just grateful we did the dentist at the beginning of our stay here and now it is over. We reached 82F/28C under a mix of clouds and were entertained overhead by a lot of military fly-overs.
