Tidying Up, Puzzling, Happy Hour, Night Flying

 Park Place Rv Park

On Thursday, Dec. 18th we were up a bit later than usual. I don't think I got out of bed until almost 7:30. I did my stretches, got washed and dressed and made the bed before coming down to join Bill. He was still trying to figure out our tv woes, with no luck.

Good morning!
This Saguaro has seen better days
(the zoom-in didn't help)
but it still stands in the residential area.

At 8:45, he and Gibbs did a tour around the park to make sure everything was in order. When they got to the dog park, Gibbs wanted to play with Tucker, which was unusual! I opened things up and decided that I was going to organize the dvd shelves. They were in NO semblance of order.

We had a box in the clubhouse for the
area Toy Drive. We were very excited that
it was overflowing when the motorcycle club
members arrived to pick it up.
Escorted by the Sheriff himself!

If there weren't so many books, I would do the same thing with that but nah. Sue was pleased that I was finding things to do, as was Bill, washing the inside and outside of the clubhouse and office windows. He likes to keep busy, as you know.

Bill did a great job on the windows.
Always helping out.

I like to keep busy too
and now the dvd's are alphabetical!

We had our meat sandwiches, mine is pastrami with cheese and lettuce and Bill likes black forest ham in his. I took Gibbs for a walk around while Bill relaxed, he had a busy morning. He also raked our site and a couple of others that were getting a number of weeds.

A walk with Gibbs down
Riggles Rd.

Each site is responsible for their own weed control (properly, of course) but when guests are coming in to a long empty spot, it is nice to clean it up first. The day went quickly and I added more to the puzzle. I'll be sad when this one is done as it is fun.

A fun puzzle for sure.

At 4, we joined Ken, Kim, Tom and Deb for Happy Hour in the empty site between us. It was a beautiful, hot day and remained so until around 5:15 when the sun dropped below the mountains. It was a last HH together with these friends this year. Individual plans will separate us for Christmas.

Beautiful but when the sun dropped,
so did the air temperature.
I know, poor us, right? 😂

Bill left for the flying field at 5:30 and I returned home with Gibbs. He was pretty good again today with the group.

Can you believe it?
I forgot a picture so had to run
back over for one.
Last one of these 4 in 2025.

Another lovely after sunset glow

For supper, we'd planned grilled cheese sandwiches so when Bill was on his way home, I began prepping them. They were good, we haven't had them in a while.

We finished the salad with our
grilled cheese.

It has been a good day. We are looking forward to Nancy's arrival tomorrow for a couple of nights.

While Bill was at the field, he
took these pictures for me - you.

Good night y'all!

The temperature today, although a few scattering cloud streamers, reached 76F/22C again. We sure can't complain about that! I hope you have had a great day as well.

Thank you for the visit.
