A Really Nice Friday

The Ridge

On Friday, June 6th it was time to sleep in! Gibbs and I said goodbye to Bill and went back to sleep. He was soooo tired! He stretched his neck across mine and promptly went into snoozeville. 💕💗 I had no desire to move him, so just lay there until he moved. I love his cuddles, he's so soft.

Good morning!
Last night's sunset peek through the trees.

We got up around 7:30 and because Bill turned the inverter on but forgot to unplug us, that was the first thing I did. 😊 How many times we each do that is crazy! We stayed indoors while I had my tea and some yogourt and played my online games.

All evening, Gibbs stayed curled up in
Daddy's chair until we went to bed,

The sky was clear, although a bit hazy from smoke, I assume. The warnings are still out. Gibbs and I were out for a while and didn't notice.

My $15 geranium.
These blossoms are almost done
but there are more to come and the leaves
are so healthy.
I love it!

Just before 10, I drove over to pick M up for his town run. On our return, I noticed Black Beauty creeping up on us. Bill carried on home while we unloaded M's purchases etc. It was nice that my sweetie was done early on a Friday. Let the weekend begin! We had lunch together and although grass cutting was discussed, we decided it could wait another couple of days.

These lights are small but should light up
the steps when the motion detector light is off.

Bill had a few more small things to do outside but first we looked at the roof of Mike's slide out. What caused the leaking, no clue, but there is damage up there that needs to be dealt with. 😕 Bummer. Bill and I installed some small solar lights on the railing of the steps and down at his Hangar. A cheap expenditure but worth seeing if they help light things up. Safety is key.

What a cool puzzle! I love it!

I started a new project after lunch. I started working on Rob's puzzle. 💖 Rob bought it a while ago to work on and never got to it, sadly, so Pat thought I would enjoy it. So sweet!

Gibbs enjoyed it too
but he got bored of it quickly.

It is a fun one and you know who is helping me find those darn pieces! Thank you, Buddy. Around 2, we got dressed for a ride and hopped on Jazz.

A lovely day for a ride, however short.

My lawnmower batteries are dying a slow death so we went into Battery Pro to buy some from Mark. Hopefully now I will be able to cut grass for a longer period of time, getting more done. It was a short ride but a beautiful day to take her out. Back home, Bill went to the Hangar, Gibbs hung outside in the shady spots and I worked on the puzzle some more.

Nothing spectacular here yet but
they are growing and they are still alive!

While I sat in my gravity chair with Gibbs,
we saw this little lady come across our patio.
That video clip was too large and not allowing me
to trim it, but don't kid yourself.
These little creatures can sure move!

When Bill got the hammock out and set about laying on it, Gibbs wasted no time hopping up with him. What a little con artist! A moving hammock poses no problem, but a stationary recliner does. LOL 💞

The hammock boys.
Gibbs is always on watch for predators. 😂

At 6, we started supper. Grilled bacon cheeseburgers and that first bite was heavenly! Actually, the whole burger was, topped off with a Giant Tiger  butter tart. Yum!

Delicious!

After my blog, I think I might watch a movie instead of the NCIS:Sydney reruns from the previous nights. As long as I can remember how to turn things on. Each change can be a challenge for me! LOL This was a great day.

When we heard the tractor, Gibbs and I
went up on the berm to see what he was doing.
Spraying his crop is fun to watch.

We reached a high of 25C/75F with mostly clear skies until just before supper. I hope you are having good weather too and getting some rain, if you need it.

                 Good night!

Thank you for stopping in,

  2. Gibbs certainly doesn't let you two get far away. I'm surprised he doesn't mind the moving hammock.
