I come from a large family, 8 children, 7 of which are remaining after losing a brother at a very young age 3 years ago. The picture here is of the five oldest sibs before we lost Bruce. We were working hard, cleaning out Mom's house after it sold but we still managed to get a lot of good times in too!
My 5 sisters, Mom and I get together one weekend a year to celebrate "us". Sometimes we can't all make it so it took some hunting to find a picture with all 6 girls and Mom.
We started out in Montreal where a sister lives, approximately 20 yrs. ago travelling by car, van or train and laughed a lot, walked a lot , stayed in expensive hotels and spent our hard earnings. Great fun!
We still get together but now my sis travels here to Ontario to visit us at the home of whichever sister is hosting. Hopefully this year we will all be present and I can an updated picture posted! Mom has kept right up with us at the best of times and just this past year has noticeably slowed down and will only spend portions of our weekend with us this year. It's all good, she's 88! She looks great, eh?
I have 2 children of my own and my husband of 17 years has 4. Yes, kind of 'Brady Bunch' except that they didn't live with us full time. Phew!
- My children with me - Patrick, Bridgette Bill's girls - Yvonne, Charlotte, Krystal, Jess
Oldest - Taylor, Jake Braeden,Connor,Carter, Zach (left) Chelsea, Olivia
Youngest - Nathan with his Mom and Dad
We don't see them a lot yet we keep in touch and are very close in heart. Everyone has a busy family, with Bill and I being the most relaxed. I guess that is how it should be, eh? Now that we have raised our children and worked for half of our lives! The next process is to slow down and enjoy a different side of living.
