The Ridge
On Thursday, May 14th I was up at 7 and out the door by 7:20, ahead of my 'co-worker' today. I like to be at the Mat for 7:30 and managed that this morning. There was one new-to-me customer there and we had a good ole chat.
I've said before that there are more men doing laundry than women, that always surprised me but it must indicate that they are single and live inplaces without laundry facilities. Interesting. Some keep to themselves but most are friendly.

The sky has looked like
this all day. Very briefly
we saw some blue patches.
I stopped for a bottle of water before cleaning so when I finished my job, went to Impact Tire for our Catch the Ace tickets for tomorrow night. We enjoyed the meeting last night but with our 'work' hours pending, didn't sign up to volunteer - yet.

A peek of sunshine just to tease.
Today was dull again but when Bill called at 10, a rare occasion, he said he had a fair bit of sunshine in between the white fluffy clouds. That meant it was coming our way and I was patiently waiting. It is the dampness that gets me, I just feel chilled.
I worked on more earrings and think now I'll do more bookmarks. Waiting on craft sale notices is something else that may take second fiddle to working for Robin. That, at least, is a sure bit of income but we'll see. Self-inflicted intimidation plays a big part in what I choose to do. 🤔

These are the cookies/snacks that I made yesterday with our pecans.
For lunch, I had a poached egg on toast and it was yummy. These eggs from our neighbour are so tasty, I might be willing to pay a higher price for his for lunches and use store bought for baking. I made a couple of bookmarks this afternoon to send out for an upcoming event and had my tea.

You all remember Miss Piggy? She is very thin but still among his favourites.
Gibbs and I walked to get the mail and back. Brrr. The wind just doesn't make the walk very pleasant. I watched Father and Mother Goose with 7 babies come up from the pond. Cutest thing ever when one little one straggled behind.

When I returned home this morning
the family and a couple of
'uncles'(?) were walking up the lane.
Bill was home by 4:30 and he took an empty propane tank in to the FS:Co op for a fill. He's been watching it for a few days so it has done us quite well. This was #4 that we've emptied.

Swimming together
For supper, I made a garden salad, cooked a potato and reheated the gravy and pork tenderloin.
It went down pretty good and we had raspberries and blackberries with homemade whipping crean for dessert. Yum. Berries sure don't last long though, so we finished them up. After dishes, Bill made his lunch and we watched tv together. Here are some videos for you.
Nothing got down outside today, but I did get the bird feeders filled again. Hopefully, we get a bit of a warm up tomorrow, at least some sunshine. The winds were gusting to 16 km.hr today and the Suite rocked a bit. It was a good day though.
This one is particularly cute. I counted only 6
goslings and wondered where #7 was.
Watch how fast the little guy runs to catch up.
Good night!
Thank you for the visit.
