Sunday Comin' Down

Park Place RV Park

Sunday, Nov. 23rd was laundry day. Not only that but we had shopping to do! We were up and over at the clubhouse laundromat by 7:15. Two smallish loads today, we're just not getting things dirty, I guess. At least the weather is warming up again.

Good morning!

We've said it before but I have to repeat it again. The morning desert smell is of dampness, is it mesquite or just plain desert earth? I don't know, but even with just the dew, it is a smell we both know and love. Bill left for the field after helping me with the clothes.

I captured the changes in the
morning sky

I made my tea and went back and forth to transfer from machine to machine until they were dry and folded. I stopped at the puzzle and managed to finish the border before carrying the basket home. Gibbs was looking at me so sweetly that I obliged him with his walk.

The sun popped and then disappeared
for the morning.
With patches of blue sky, I knew
it would return.

Was I surprised when he decided to follow our last winter's path, outside the park perimeter and cutting through the dog park area. He seemed to enjoy the sniffs again and I'm sure all the new ones were also appealing. I'm happy not to be a puppy!

This is my puzzle choice this time.
The border is finished.

Back home, I finished the second toque and thought I'd model it again for you. Front and back, do you have any idea how challenging that position was? 😂

There's that crazy lady trying to do
a selfie again!
The hat is cute though!

I turned the inverter on and disconnected from power, we may as well save on the electric bill where we can! Gibbs and I sat outside waiting for Gibbs and I managed to play my Wordle games. Gibbs was a good boy, laying in his bed.

This is my dollar store bag,
it holds just what I need to my walkabouts
and is a crossover. It was $2.97.

We had lunch together and then left the little guy in charge while we drove to Walmart in Parker. The list had grown expotentially but we managed to find all but one item. That is usually a good sign and the whole ordeal didn't seem to take us too long.

Gibbs and I walked around
the park and you can now see the
sky is clear blue.
This travel trailer is in storage while
the owners renovate inside.
I like the colour!

It was funny shopping today because it seemed everyone was looking for something. Bill actually guided a lady to the cranberry sauce that even an employee couldn't find! We came home with a lot of food and less $ spent than I thought after seeing the full car.

Then we rested and waited for Daddy

We can eat again, hopefully well, and hopefully with variety. 😂 It turned into a lovely day. We both started out in jeans and by noon, regretted the decision. I changed into light stretch pants before we went shopping and that was wise.

Finally, I found the suction
holder for our dining window!
We've been looking for a couple of weeks.
(it was right where I thought)

We reached a wonderful 68F/18C under sunny skies. There were clouds off and on, interesting ones and others that hung over the mountains off in the distance leaving them blackened. It was late in our first year here in Arizona when I realized the mountains were not black but shadowed. LOL

The drive to Parker.
The mountains under the clouds
were like a painting.

Bill took Gibbs for his afternoon walk and the little guy took him all the way to the corner of Riggles and Quail Trail before turning around. I think he was tired of being indoors!

Bill was getting sleepy watching the YouTube Country Homecoming with Ralph Emery at the Ryman Theatre so got woken up with the walk. We enjoyed the talents from the 1999 special, many who have passed on to the wild blue yonder.

I always miss this sign but
not today!

Supper was great, thank you, Sue (I think), for the hot hamburger/meatloaf sandwiches. I made gravy and spread it all on hamburger buns. Oh my, it was perfect and we cleaned up the meatloaf on the 3rd night without getting tired of it. 💖 After supper, we watched The Road.

Thanks for the tip!
We used up the last two
'old' buns.
Good night!

Thank you for stopping by, it was a great day!

  1. That puzzle looks a little easier than the one I will bring you. Great crocheting! You'll be a pro soon!
