Park Place RV Park
On Monday, Nov. 17th I was awake at 6, after a couple of false starts and got up at 7. I went up to bed last night to watch tv at 9. At 9:15, I turned it off and rolled over. I was too tired to even watch a program.

Good morning! This picture is stunning to me.
I'm going to blame Lila, ha ha, for lack of any other reason. Speaking of my 2 wheeled-purple-leg-exerciser.............well, I learned my lesson and thanks to a couple of friends, will not give up (yet) and I will follow their advice. I will get there.

Then this one.
I will just bike to the corner of Riggles and Quail Trail and back for my first week. Once that feels good, I will go east into the residential area. It is paved and I can bike around there looking at those beautiful homes. There are no inclines there. So, thank you to my friends for their advice.
I met Sue and Diane as they walked past our place at 10 to 8. They started out early! Diane and I went the extra 'mile' (which is only 1/3 of a mile) and parted ways. When I walked over with my cue stick for poker pool, Sue met me outside and said Angie cancelled. Another day where 2 players just don't cut it. 😞 We'll get there too.

I started down the road for my walk after lunch.
I'm not sure what happened to Linda from the other park, she said she would join but hasn't yet. I don't want to pester so just let it be. We are missing Bette, Karen, Nancy, Jess and Debbie. I stayed in the clubhouse to work on the puzzle though and Sue showed me a couple of key points in the office too.
At noon, I met Bill at home. He collected his reimbursement from the lights he bought, Sue was more than happy with the selection. After we ate, I left my boys and walked to the Family Dollar. This, too, was a test of my endurance ability. Remember, I stopped walking early last spring.

This walk is so familiar, I'm grateful to be out there again.
It was great! I walked slow and felt no discomfort from yesterday's ride or from the .9 mi walk. I actually like this store, a lot, and had a few things on my list to look for. Out of 5 items, I found 3 and 4 things for Christmas. Even 2 things for 'my' stocking! Sssh.

The pretty Palo Verde tree.
I messaged Bill that I was fine, since he had offered to pick me up if the sciatica monster reared its head, so he could relax. It was a really nice walk, although I was quite warm when I returned. The sun was beating down upon the trek back. 😉 I was a happy camper.

I cut through the wash, you can't tell how deep it is, but there is quite a dip ahead of me here.
Gibbs and I went for his walk and then I nipped over to work on the puzzle until 4. I sat to play my games and catchup on FB. Bill offered to take Gibbs for his late walk again and the little bum was very excited to go. 💖 It's good for both of them.
Supper tonight is meat pies, beef, with the leftover rice we both have. I'm feeling that our meals are in a rut, seems we go through phases of the same thing. Oh well, Bill knew he didn't marry a chef and I knew I didn't marry a food critic! 😍

With this walk, I actually managed 7,037 steps today! 2.67 miles, that's big for me at this point.
It was all good and Bill took care of the dishes. I finished my blog and will read a bit before finding something to watch. My eyes get too heavy for reading later. This was a great day. The temperature was a moderate 71F/20C and it was pleasant.

It was very good with the rice. My followers are smart!
There are cooler days and rain ahead but nothing we can't handle.

Good night!
Thank you for your visit!

Pretty pictures of the sun peeking through the clouds. You're doing great on exercise. I'm way behind. Our temps are finally dropping after so much warm weather. Time to rake leaves.
ReplyDeleteHave fun raking!
DeleteYou had a good walk today and glad you liked the rice with your beef pies.
ReplyDeleteI understand about running out of ideas for dinner. Tomorrow is stir fry with chicken for ours.
Sue
Thanks for the tip. It filled us up better.
DeleteAnd don't forget that UPHILL!! Whether walking OR biking.
ReplyDeleteYes Ma'am. ☺️
DeleteI'm glad to hear you won't be giving up on your bike riding. I know from your blog you enjoy it so doing shorter rides for the next while is a very good idea.
ReplyDeleteOn the food front, I haven't gotten into a rut (yet), as I'm enjoying only cooking for one. What I do have an issue with is a limited pantry. I've had to be creative but sometimes I'm stymied.
We had rain last night with more in the forecast today. I haven't been outdoors yet to check the patio but expect I'll be cleaning up water later this morning.
Have a great day!
Thanks Maebeme. I did enjoy riding so hope to get back to that.
DeleteOvernight rain and maybe more later today. At least it isn't steady.
Good for you on the biking. Just take it easy for the first while and before you know it you will be taking longer and longer trips.
ReplyDeleteThings are cooling off here and the forecasted snow and ice have disappeared, just cold and windy for the next week or so.
God bless.
It is the ice that I dislike so much about winter. Well, and the wind. A calm snowy day didn't ever bother me if I could walk out in it.
DeleteThank you for the encouraging words.
