Park Place RV Park
Friday, Feb. 3rd was a cloudy day from the beginning. We were all up by 7:30 and although I woke once at 2 am to realize that I was sharing more than half of my pillow with Gibbs (nose to nose), I still can report a good sleep. Also, the bonus was that this morning before I woke up at 6, I was dreaming of Mom. ♥

Bill got
ready for the field and I took Gibbs out for a walk. When I dropped him back at
home, I pushed myself out for my own walk. It hasn’t been regular by any means
and my daily steps are suffering for it. It was a lovely morning with little to
no wind and a moderate 40F/4C. It was a great walk around the big block
listening to my podcast.
Successes today

After I
had my tea back home, I was ready to go to the clubhouse when Bill pulled in.
Not too much was going on at the flying field and it was chilly just standing
around. Gibbs was happy not to be alone. 😊 I worked away until almost noon and when Adele joined me, we
went section by section and made huge strides in the middle. It’s looking
better!

We had bacon and eggs for lunch and then I sat and finished yesterday’s blog. I had taken a lot of pictures. It was still cloudy and coolish but when our company arrived at 2, the sun began making an appearance.

It could have been Ken and Shirley’s
presence that made things brighten up too! We had a wonderful ‘reunion’ visit
and we covered a lot of subjects until it was time for them to leave.

We had
grilled sausages for supper with potatoes and a vegetable. It was good but
wait! We’re not done there. We had a piece of my homemade cherry pie for dessert.
It was very good too! After loading the dishwasher, we watched Fire Country while
I worked on my blog. This was an awesome day and we’re hoping to see Ken and
Shirley again soon. ♥

Glad you were able to meet up with Ken and Shirley. It was nice here without the wind, but it was unexpectedly overcast for most of the day. Your pictures of your walk this morning look nice. Beats stepping around rocks all the time.

ReplyDeleteThey made it!! How fun to catch up. It doesn't take Gibbs long to find a lap! LOL. Nice table by the way ... and the gazebo, the perfect place for a happy hour.
