CanAm RV Centre, London, ON
On Wednesday, Oct. 18th, we didn’t wait until after lunch to head to London as we originally thought we would. Those who know us well, knew we would pull out early. 😊 It was 9:15 by the time we were packed up, dumped and pulling through our gate.
Bill is hooking up I was doing my usual melancholy thing
Taking pictures of the empty siteDumping the tanks
It was
cloudy this morning and 7C/45F but 30 minutes down the road, the clouds moved
off and blue skies gave us sunshine. That didn’t last long but it was a
pleasant dry day all the same. We made one stop west of Milverton for Gibbs to
have a piddle, even if it is just a few droplets, it settles him down for the
rest of the journey. That worked, he only whimpered when Daddy turned his
blinker on.
I had to run ahead and cross North Line to get
a picture of the Suite and the high gate posts. 💖Spiffy closure, just as we'd hoped.
We
arrived at CanAm, London just before noon hour, which was pretty good timing
considering we were pulling near 19,000 lbs. behind us. Peggy had a spot right
out along the building for us so Bill got set up. For some reason, I felt
tired, so preferred not to go anywhere after we got set up. There was always
tomorrow when we’ll need to be somewhere else. They will be working on the
Suite inside. We drove through a couple of weather changes
from clouds to sun and back again.
It was dry and mild enough and that was the best part.
He was up and down like a yo-yo
concerned as Bill used the turn signals
but he also slept off and on.The clouds remained constant for most
of the trip today. And occasionally there was a view that
I couldn't help but photograph.
We have a dozen eggs so Madame IP boiled them up perfectly for me and half became egg salad while the others are marked and returned to the fridge. Just in case they aren’t allowed to cross the border. The chickens or the eggs, wouldn’t much matter what went first, I don’t think. 😊
It was a pleasant drive |
For
supper, we agreed on sausage, fried potatoes and as much as Bill didn’t agree
whole-heartedly, we had carrots. Again, not a passable food item. They come
from our Canadian earth! It was a quiet day for us, inside, but Gibbs

I suggested we run to Costco tonight rather than wait until Saturday and so we did that. We were very quick, back home in an hour. It doesn’t take us long with a list and a budget. LOL Bill had set up the Starlink this afternoon so we can watch tv while we’re here. Tomorrow may be challenging, depending on how long things take but Al will be greasing the bearings and checking the brake pads on the Suite for sure.
Gibbs noticed this white fluffy cutie
so Bill took him over (or visa versa) to greetNose touches and not a peep of
discontent. 😀
I chuckle at Gibbs' little wiggle bum
He's so happy!
FridayWe’re hoping she can be brought out for us to sleep in again
BUT the frayed bedroom slide cable (which is on the list to repair) broke when
we opened up. I don’t even want to think about that, they are the technicians
and will handle it. 😊 I worked on my blog and Gibbs went
upstairs with Bill. He’s into Christmas movies already and that just isn’t my
cup of tea.
Supper was good but I could only eat
one of the sausages with all the other stuff.
Bill helped me out. Our door faces west so a nice view of the sky
This was
a great day. We moved safely and easily and are comfortable and cozy for the
night. We reached a high of 15C/59F today and it will be only dropping to a low
of 9C/48F overnight. We met a lot of construction in the short trip
to Costco - yup, we're in London.
The clouds hanging over the horizon looked odd but it was a peek at some sun before darkness. Good night! |
Thank you
for stopping by. I’ll get a picture of our ‘spot’ tomorrow morning.
I can hear the excitement in your words. Enjoy the few days of rest.

Thanks Deb!
DeleteI read the anticipation and wish you the best. We'll be enjoying traveling through you again.
ReplyDeleteDon't know why Google won't let us sign in.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Thanks Rick and Kathy.
DeleteThank you for the FALL COLORS again! When I boil a few eggs they get a BLACK X on the shell so I know they are hard boiled! A little rest before the long road ahead is always nice.
ReplyDeleteStay safe.
😊 you are welcome. These colours will disappear for me soon.
DeleteMine say HB.
We just put HB on the carton in a couple of places.
DeleteHope all goes well with the necessary repairs and adjustments.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your stay!
Thank you Maebeme!
DeleteReally good to see BB back on the road, all shined up. I can't believe the egg thing. First it was beef, then dog food, now eggs, and don't forget the fruits and veggies. LOL. Lucky you have a reputable place to take your rig for tuneups. Hugs for Gibbs.
ReplyDeleteYes, and how proud to be pulling again! :)
DeleteI know, it's ridiculous. It's expensive but we do trust their judgement.
Enjoy your stay in London. A very nice looking gate you have.
ReplyDeleteThank you Doug!
DeleteKeeping my fingers crossed that all the repairs are done in short order.
ReplyDeleteIt is way too early for Christmas shows in my books.
God bless.
thank you Jackie. Soon decorations will be out for that holiday. I'm not ready either.
DeleteGlad to see you off safely! Look forward to following your travels.
ReplyDeleteThank you FG. We're happy to have you along! :)
DeleteNice you have a great place to stay while BB gets fixed. Hopefully it'll be quick and not too expensive for you guys! Silly rules over the border. Hard boiled vs fresh..geez
