The Ridge
On Sunday, May 10th it was a clear blue sky that I woke up to at 6:30. How nice for this special day! Well, my joy was short lived as soon as I saw the temperature. Yes, weather talk again. It was 0C/32F out there.

Good morning!
This was last night's sunset.
Who says clouds can't be pretty?
No one!
Bill didn't have to be anywhere but I did. We sorted dirty laundry and he carried the basket to Ptooties for me. There were two customers in the Mat and I loaded our two loads just like they did. I finished cleaning and dried the small items before I left for home.

Heading to town on
Baptist Church Rd.
I hung the rest on the line; although cold, the sun and wind would dry them. And it did. Bill was planning on working on his cargo trailer (outside) but the air was just too darn cold. He needed a day off for fun.

Turbine lane is on the way.
Makes for a nice picture.
I did some paper quilling, he hung in the Hangar and for lunch I made us buns with melted cheese and bacon. They were good, a challenge with no oven but I made it work. The day did not warm up and when I brought the clothes in off the line, in just a sweater - it was just dumb. Brrrr!
More quilling, and Bill accepted a parcel delivery from Amazon. It is another earring holder, very small but big enough for displaying at a craft show. I am still waiting to make a decision on those, just taking things day by day. Right now, I'm keeping busy and enjoying the craft.

Today I remembered to update
our anniversary plaque.
My sister mentioned watching the movie Song Sung Blue so I found it on Stack TV and watched it. Yes, it is a really good movie and I loved the music. If you like Neil Diamond, I recommend you watch it too.

Gibbs wanted out before
supper and this is what he did.
What a goof!
For supper, I had Madame IP cook pork tenderloin with onions, potatoes and then gravy. It was all delicious, just like a Sunday night meal should be. I heard from my daughter first thing this morning and we had a nice long catch up chat.

Then he looks at us as if
"what?"
Go piddle - so he does and
then runs back inside.
Joy, everyday, that's what he give me.
💘
Marilynne called this morning while I was at the Mat to thank us for the card I made. Nice to hear how much she loved it. This afternoon, my son made his call and we did the same thing.

Supper was good
and we have leftovers.
Two of Bill's daughters sent messages and we talked to Jessica yesterday. It has been a good day, very relaxing for Mother's Day. If you are a mom, I hope you also had a great day.

Thank you for stopping by.

It certainly was a chilly day even with the sunshine! We worked outside off and on and I did laundry. We put my plant stands on the front porch.....now if only it would warm up......it's May for goodness sake! Gibbs is quite the character and certainly keeps you amused.
ReplyDeleteIt's a start, right? Every little bit, day by day. When it warms up we'll all probably overdo it, we'll be so happy!
DeleteWell, it is hot here in Florida, but I will take it. I think I have finally decided to stay in FL and just travel. Hoping to be able to get a tiny home built on my daughters land so I can have a 'home base'.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your anni! It is so hard for my brain to actually CONNECT that 1997 was 29 years AGO! Ugh where does the time go? I hope everyone has a wonderful week and their MD was awesome!
Thank you for the wishes. I agree, it sure doesn't seem like 29 years ago that we stood at the chapel and exchanged vows!
DeleteSounds like a good plan, you are lucky that your daughter has land for you to build on.
BRRRR it's too cold there for me!! We are up to the 90's now. I'll try and send you some more warm!! Happy Mothers Day
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy. It is TOO cold for ME too! Hurry and send it along!
DeleteWe are finally getting a bit warmer and I have managed to do some work outside. Sounds like you had a lovely Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
