Park Place RV Park
Friday, Jan. 6th arrived without fanfare although it was a few degrees cooler in the morning – again. Temperatures are up and down here just as much as they are back home. Thankfully, not to the same degree, literally! It was 44F/7C when Gibbs and I went out for our walk. The sun was trying to break through the clouds and eventually did later in the morning. It was calm so Bill would be happy at the flying field.
Interesting house marker
Now, if Quartzsite had mail delivery, it could maybe
serve as a mailbox too!
I dropped
Leroy Jethro at home with a milk bone, which he took willingly, and I went for
another adventurous walk. Each small Quartzsite street has something new and
interesting to see and warrant a photograph. 😊 I layered up with a hoody under my lumberjack jacket and was
glad I did. It was perfect for walking with no chill getting through. Funny, I
still don’t wear socks, my feet and ankles don’t seem to feel the cold.
More century old Saguaros just because I love them |
I had my
cup of tea and a bowl of Life cereal when I returned. I played my online games
and then walked over to the clubhouse. Susan and Adele came in to play some
Poker Pool, offering me to join if I chose, but I was in puzzle mode and
politely declined. It’s fun to hear the cheers, moans and groans while they
play. I made my own moans and groans as I tried desperately to place pieces in
this hard picture! 😉
Hey! This has an R and sunflowers!
I
returned at noon and Bill and I had bacon and eggs for lunch. He was busy
charging batteries etc. for his hobby so at 1:30, I returned to the puzzle. Our
days don’t change much from one to the other but we aren’t ‘needy’ people in
that respect. We don’t need a lot of variety in our days and since we work all
summer, this is a really nice break for each of us.
These brick fences are everywhere |
I made a
cup of tea when I returned home before 4 and Bill took Gibbs out for his
afternoon walk. The sky has mostly cleared out and I heard by the 60’s Sirius
personality. There will be a Wolf Moon tonight so want to try and watch for
that. I sat and read more chapters before Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy came on.
Bill started grilling sausages for supper and inside I made rice and veggies to
go along with them.
There are a few properties for sale in the area It's a hard one but I'm getting there!
We
watched our Friday night Fire Country episode and relaxed for the evening because
we don’t do enough of that! Ha ha. This has been a nice day reaching a lower
63F/17C before another heat wave on the weekend. 😊 You know the saying, ‘if you don’t like the weather wait 5
minutes’, well that applies here also.
Bill and Gibbs enjoying the sunshine My sweeties 💖💖 Good night! |
Thank you
for stopping by.
Great picture of Bill and Jethro. Interesting yards you find on your walks. Wonder what it would be like to live in Q full time?
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a cute pix too. :) Sometimes we wonder too - well not full time but full winter time on our own property.
DeleteReading Deb's comments we fit into the go category. We can stay put for a couple of days, but then it's usually Ken who wants to move on. Again, he rarely sits still here at home either. Love seeing the yards on your walks!
ReplyDeleteBill is go-go-go at home and lately I have been too. It's nice to sit. :)
DeleteAbsolutely, it would be strange if we all wanted the same things. Not much room for conversation! haha
