Park Place RV Park
On Monday, Dec. 23rd I was up and out for my walk by 7:20. I was up before 7 but I sat and waited for daylight to make an appearance. It was 47F/8C so pleasant for walking. I didn’t need my windbreaker this morning. The boys left after I got home and I hopped in the shower. While my hair dried, (which doesn’t take long) I sat with Gibbs and then we went for his walk.
Good morning!
Funny how a selfie turns the picture
around completely.
It was
already warming up so by then, I was in shorts. It was a bit mixed up in the
clubhouse, as far as playing poker pool, but only because the managers were
waiting for an electrical contractor to come and do some repairs on some of the
posts in the park. We had all been advised to turn off our power and unplug by
9 am. Once the contractor arrived, we were sure the lights would remain on for
us. 😊
A pretty sky this morning again
So, there
were 4 of us to start playing and then at 11, just 3 but we had fun and I walked
away the winner. There is no prize but I walked away feeling proud. I know Jess
was quite excited that she won a game too. I’m so glad that we have ladies
interested enough to come back. Back home at noon for lunch with Bill, we had
our ham sandwiches. I opened one of the Sam’s Club loaves of keto bread and
love it! Yay!
I know this is blurred but a typical morning. We each sit on this step to put our running shoes on. Gibbs squeezes in beside us, puts his paw on our leg and does everything to get our attention. 💘 |
After
lunch, I walked over to start the quilt puzzle and ended up so frustrated. I’d
obviously forgotten what a challenge it was to start. Trying to figure which
pieces were border pieces was the first challenge and then working with pieces
that don’t always join – they just jut up next to another one. Oh well, I’m
griping. I’ll get there but don’t shoot me if I don’t finish the border/edge
before working inside. 😊
I'd forgotten that this puzzle had funny pieces in the border. LOL |
I came home around 3 and sat in the gazebo for a while with my next book. It is called Whispers by Belva Plain, one I got from Patty. It is good, different than my usual ones but it has grabbed my attention. I delivered very few Christmas cards today and we’ve received a couple in return. Not in that order. ♥ Around 3:30, Bill saw our good friend, Nancy, drive in with her new Pleasureway rv. He walked over to greet her.
Already chewing into a toy from Nancy. |
She was
set up in no time, basically hooking up, and joined us, with Patty and Duncan
for a brief happy hour. We invited her for supper with us tonight so she didn’t
have to eat alone nor did she have to decide what to eat after travelling all
day. It was a simple meal, just sausages on a bun but she added a special touch
by bringing us each a Nestles drumstick. Yum!
Well? Naughty-ish or Nice-ish?
She brought a bag full of toys etc. for Gibbs and before she left, we gave her a couple of gifts for her and Cooper. Sorry, Jonathan, next time! Before supper, Gibbs and I went for a short walk.
A lovely shot while walking with Gibbs before supper. |
What a character. Never met a toy he couldn't chew apart. |
Gibbs has already emptied the stuffed
stocking from the bag and ripped open the boomerang and is removing the
squeaker and stuffing as I type. LOL Which one is indestructible, Nancy? 😊
Her cute little rig nestled in with the big guys. Supper was delicious!
Thanks Nancy for the ice cream cone!
After she left, in the dark, I finished my blog and we found something to watch on tv. Nancy will be leaving in the morning so a short stop for her this time, but we are always very happy to see her whenever possible. This has been a lovely day! It reached a warm 76F/25C and only dropping to 48F/9C overnight. Should be perfect.
Good night! |
Thank you
for stopping around. Your comments are always welcome!
Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Glad Nancy made it safely and you had a good visit. Say 'hi' for me. We've had a cool cloudy day. No snow for Christmas this year.
ReplyDeleteThanks Doug. No snow could be good news. Depends how you look at it.
DeleteMerry Christmas.

ReplyDeleteHad a nice visit.
DeleteSorry but your comment about Gibbs is way off track. Gibbs is anything but ignored. 🙄

DeleteYou can't explain your way out of it. You offended them. You need to be humble and apologize.
DeleteOr just take the comment down and hope nobody remembers what an ass you are. Bet you didn't apologize as you think you are always right.
DeletePower back on when I got here! Well RATS! I really thought that green toy would last a little longer. Apparently they don't know Gibbs! He could be their test doggy!! I would call naughty-ish!! So happy to get to spend even a few hours with that happy boy! I'll be back!!!
ReplyDeleteHaha great to see you. He thanks you for the goodies even though he destroys them. He thinks that is his job.
DeleteGlad your friend made it safely - that's a cute camper van.
ReplyDeleteThat puzzle looks extremely difficult, but I've no doubt you'll power through.
Thanks Maebeme. Her little rv is a learning experience for her. She is learning to love it.
DeleteAs I recall that puzzle border gave you grief last year too but the challenge is what this puzzle is all about, isn't it. Wishing you a happy and joyful Christmas with Bill and Gibbs!
ReplyDeleteI wish I remembered that about the puzzle!
