Park Place RV Park
On Sunday, Mar. 9th I woke up feeling pretty fair at 6:30. Gibbs and I stretched a bit on the bed and then we got up to help sort laundry. It was 7 when we walked the clothes over to start laundry. First ones, as usual. 😀 Bill had a calm day for flying and wanted to get one more flight in, if possible. I transferred the clothes and sat to work on the puzzle for a bit while waiting for the dryer to finish.

Good morning! Another benefit from getting out at 7 am. |
Everything was folded and back home by 9:30. I finished with my blocking techniques on the floor and felt wonderful! I took Gibbs for his walk. What a lovely morning! A blue sky with nary a cloud in sight. The temperature was going to improve today and I could already feel heat coming on. 💕 Gibbs wanted to sit outside when we returned so crawled into his bed in the gazebo and I sat in the folding chair in the sun. This chair is the most comfortable, hard as opposed to the softer lawn chairs.

No wind at all this morning. |

Finished |
We sat out there until Bill returned at 11:30 and there was not a peep from Gibbs until Black Beauty rounded the corner. He was so excited! 😂 We had our lunch and I left my boys to have their snooze and walked over to finish the puzzle. It was an easy one but I enjoyed it a lot. Our time here is diminishing but maybe I can squeeze one more puzzle in before we depart.

Ken, Bill, Tom, Deb Cheers! |
We were going to join our friends, Ken, Tom and Deb at Roadrunner BLM for Happy Hour so after taking Gibbs for his walk, we gave him his treat to look after the house and left before 3. The day did get hotter, as forecasted, so we were happy sitting in the shade of Stinger B's awning and shade screen. We had a nice visit and a few beverages until shortly after 5. We'd planned a simple supper, knowing we could be late. Grilled cheese sandwiches, mine with keto bread and sliced onion. It was tasty and filling.

Yes, the Indian is still sleeping. A Paramotor glides over our site back home. |

when I held my phone up to the west facing window to get the sunset, this was the result! awesome!! |
We reached 80F/27C before it began dropping off. Tonight we'll be watching The Floor and whatever we get into before bedtime. It has been a great Sunday! By the way, Arizona does not practice Daylight Savings Time, hasn't since 1968, so while others are adjusting their manual time pieces, we only take note that we are now 3 hours different than our home province of Ontario.

Ready for something adorable? I've been watching the bald eagle nest LIVE at Big BearValley. Good night! |
Thank you for taking the time to see what we're up to.
Hi Folks: pretty envious of your 80F right now although Georgian Bay at 0* this am. You might wish to note that due to the trade war initiated by PresidentTrump, there is now 25% tariff on most what declared when returning to Canada & also US is requiring that make certain are on I94 list[check online] when entered the US.Hopefully resolved before you return. Not great for anyone ,especially snowbirds.
ReplyDeleteThank you A James regarding the border issues. There are a lot of rumors floating so we are keeping up to speed so as to be prepared. Going home and our fall return.
DeleteEnjoy your warmer temps!
I love those little eaglets!! Last year none .... this year THREE!! Hope they all make it. Nice puzzle finish! I'm mad that on your return, you have to pay a tariff on things you bought here. Seems to me that's just hurting the Canadian people, not the U.S. I sure hope they get this stuff sorted out.
ReplyDeleteAren't they sweet? I love how Dad returns in the morning and gives Mom a break away from the nest. She is one patient mom!!
ReplyDeleteThe tariffs will hurt even though we barely return with much anymore, but still.
That paramotor looks like a cool activity to do. Probably even better from up there looking down.
ReplyDeleteNice day! We're getting snow today and tomorrow too. :(
ReplyDeleteI was thrilled to see the wee eaglets too. I get a kick out of watching their little bobble heads and they seem to like to play too. I'm always amazed as we would never have been able to experience these views before the internet.
I'm not certain but I believe the I-94 wasn't used at land borders previously, and now it will be mandatory. I've haven't read much about it, yet, so I'm uncertain whether we would need to apply prior to arriving at the border or if the form can be completed there. I've joined the Canada Snowbird Association as I suspect they will have the most up to date (and plain language) information.
That sunset picture is amazing! I've just been sitting outside and came in when I got too hot! It's 10° out there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo of the sunset. We got a bit of snow today, more to come tomorrow, but then we are good until Friday. We plan on going to Kris's on Thursday so as to miss the worst of it driving.
ReplyDeleteCute eaglet picture.
God bless.
