Win Some, Lose Some, No Pain, No Gain etc.

 The Ridge

On Sunday, July 19th Gibbs woke me with a kiss at 2 minutes to 6. He laid his head right beside mine on my pillow when I whispered 'it's not time, go back to sleep'. Bill was still sound asleep and our special boy knew enough not to disturb him. 💕

Good morning!
6 Moonflowers to greet us today.
Something has been nibbling
on a couple. 🤔

We all woke and got up before 6:30. I wanted to be on the move to town before 7. With the 2 loads ready to go, I was walking in the Mat door at 7 on the nose. One customer was already inside loading his machines. He said he likes to get in and out asap and I applaud him for that.

I was happy to get off the hill!
Clothes are hung, once the sun is away
from the trees, they'll dry quickly.

By the time I finished washing floors and loading Ptooties, it was 8:10. I had stopped at the bank on the way in but the ATM was not working. I later heard that the internet was down around town. It's like the bugs were waiting for me on the berm.

Gibbs was waiting for me

I hung the clothes swatting and grumbling as they found niches under my hair and behind my ears, obviously managing to get in a bite here and there. Get lost!! Since it was just 8:50, I knew I had time to hop in the shower before leaving for my sale.

When I returned to town,
Derek Goodchild told me they
were pulling out for the day.
Seemed funny not seeing him there.

Things were a bit different, vehicles had moved because Derek was moving out with his food truck today for an event. It worked out fine, I still set my table up near the sidewalk and Ptooties back almost in her original spot from my first day. 😉

Kelly was shy to have her
picture taken but agreed
to this to display my earrings.
She loved them so I'm happy.

It was a perfect weather day for a sale. Not too windy, not too hot, and I enjoyed just relaxing with my book. Kelly from the hardware came and bought the pair of daisy earrings I made and gave me a tip when she paid. Earnings were not amazing but I wouldn't have made them had I sat home. You win some, you lose some.

Spending a couple of hours
with my sisters at the
Acreage.

I packed up at 2, went inside Chicory Common to use the facilities and bought a very expensive but delicious Pineapple-Banana smoothie. Kay made it a large one, saying I deserved it for sitting out there today. That was sweet to say.

Our country drive back home,
it was a lovely sky.

When I got home, Bill was ready to go to the Acreage for water. I heard earlier that my other sister, Gayle and her husband, John, were coming to visit Donna and Gerry this afternoon so we could squeeze in a visit as well.

Such a good boy!

Gibbs was the best little boy again today in the car. With his collar on, it's like he's a different puppy so we only use it for car rides. That seems to work well. We stayed for a couple of hours and returned home around 5. Bill transferred water to our tank and grilled double burgers for each of us.

Our family is still hanging
around.

I didn't really need that much but these patties were thin and we wanted to use them up. Yes, it was way too much for me so half a pattie got cut up and Gibbs can have pieces over the next day or two. We had my homemade cheesecake with raspberry sauce for dessert. Holy cow, I'm full!

A double burger,
delicious!

Bill went to the Hangar, Gibbs crashed on the floor after watching him leave and I worked on my blog. With nothing on my agenda tomorrow, this blog will get posted in the morning. I feel exhausted and it's hard to focus! We reached a pleasant summery 21.66C/71F today with sunny skies.

Raspberry sauce on cheesecake.
Yum!
Good night!

I had a great day and a lovely visit with my sisters. Thank you for stopping by!
