Wintergreen Retreat
On Tuesday, Sept. 9 I was awake REALLY early. It is quite unusual for me but even though I was in bed at 10:30, I was wide awake at 4 am. What's with that? My bedroom is upstairs so I crept down to the washroom and thought I'd drop off right away.

Good morning! There is a golf course behind us, in between the condos which makes for a lovely lawn for grounding. 😀
Silly me, so failing that I turned the lamp on and checked out directions for today. Basically, I needed to know where we were to park. The Blue Mountain Adventures park was just down the road from our condo but too far to walk.

First on the agenda was breakfast and that was no small feat. There just aren't any here in Blue Mountain so we drove to Collingwood and finally found Eggsmart. Things happen for a reason and we were more than thrilled with the venue.

What a wonderful place for breakfast!
We headed for Blue Mountain Village, found a place to park free and walked to the Activity Centre for instruction. Since we'd prepaid it was an easy process. We decided to hop on the open air gondola first and loved the easy ride and the awesome views of Georgian Bay.

We all agreed that B.M. could improve on their signs for direction in this area, especially for newbies. Of our own persistence, we found the Activity Centre for check in.

Our first choice was the Open-Air Gondola Stunning views.
Lastly, we got harnessed up for the Wind Rider Triple Zips. Two short zip lines that we all absolutely loved. There were no real views as there wasn't enough time to take advantage but other than it not being long enough, we had no complaints. Our ages are between 70 - 77 so we are all proud that we are able to do these things. 😃

Okay, here we go!

This was on the way up so it was slow and I was able to hold my small camera for pictures. Audrey and Donna in front of me and a quick shot of Gayle behind. Bill would love it!
When we finished there, we played 18 holes on the Cascade Putting Course. Holy cow! This is harder than a whole game of golf, methinks! But it was fun, and something else to cross off the bucket list. 😉 There were many other activities to take part in but we were done.

On the golf green. This was extremely frustrating! But fun.
We walked back to Ptooties in the lot and drove to Collingwood again, 15 minutes, for supper. Fish and Sips was recommended and we were not disappointed there either. Nice family owned restaurant. When we entered, 3 tables were filled. When we left, not a seat was to be found.

A recommended place for our supper.
Back home, we relaxed (haha) over 5 games of Sequence. Audrey and I beat Donna and Gayle 4 to 1 which gives us bragging rights for the day. That could all change tomorrow! We've started a game of rotating scrabble as well so we take turns playing that.

Gayle and Audrey ordered a flight of beers I had a caesar, clam chowder and caesar salad. Yummy!
I called Bill to see how they made out today and he also had a good day. He had a dr. appointment in London and a visit with our good friends, Jim and Sharon. Gibbs had a good day with Dot and Caper and finally, tonight, ate supper. He misses me. 💗

The end of our Day 2 wanderings. Good night all!
We reached a high of 22C/72F with mostly sunny skies until around 4 pm. Perfect. Tomorrow? Not quite so busy. I hope you enjoyed your day.
Thank you for stopping by.
