The Ridge
On Thursday, Aug. 7th I didn't have to clean the Mat but when I woke up from a dream at 6:30 and heard Bill still downstairs, I realized he was working closer to home today. Only to Hanover, 20 minutes away, so his departure time was just after 7.

Good morning!
Obviously I forgot to take pictures today!
Best laid plans of mice and men.......we've all heard that, I believe. Well, at 9:50 I drove over to pick M up for his town errands. He was very slow moving and was not in great shape when he came out to the car.
Anyway, he should be nowhere but in bed with elevated feet today because his feet are so swollen. But he had things to do in Durham that only he could do. Long story short, he got in to see the doc at the hospital and they want follow ups asap.

Robin asked me if I would mind stopping
at Foodland for some fresh flowers
to put on the table in the bnb.
Their selection was pathetic.
You can't see the dying flowers that I discarded.
He hobbled enough to get his errands done for today. After dropping him off, I came home long enough to grab a banana and my water. Bill was home from his day, not unexpected, andj off I went to Williamsford.
The house was in good shape and after an hour and a half, I was on my way home. I stopped in Durham at the Beer Store to deposit my collected bottles and cans. Boy, was I surprised when I pocketed $4.80! I guess those roadside stops and bnb donations helped.
Back home by 2:15, I was starving! An apple and a cookie will tie me over until tea time. Bill had finished cutting the back field and corral just as I arrived and that meant time for his snooze. I relaxed myself, and delved back into my book.

We were in the tent and then he
disappeared, waiting.
It was another hot, humid day and I wished I'd put the a/c on this morning. Well, after today, I've decided it will be on tomorrow as we ride out this stretch of weather. We had grilled sausages on a bun for supper and, as usual, delicious!
This has been a good day. Since M played a big part of it, tomorrow morning I will be taking him in for a follow up with his doctor, solely as his transportation. The man is very stubborn and does not/has not looked after himself for years. Today we reached the prerequisite 28C/83F for the week.

They tasted better than this picture portrays.
Bill was into the reruns of Bosch so went upstairs to watch more of that. I'd finished my book waiting for supper, so watched more of Bones tonight. I started a new (to me) series called Countdown and am quite enjoying it, 4 episodes in.

| This is a memory from 2019. It was a sad occasion although my daughter and I had big smiles because we were together. We had attended a funeral for a dear friend in Rodney. |

| We were advertising how tall the corn was in the field beside their home. This was Aug. 7th, 2019. |

BTW, stay tuned for the sequel "Moonflower 2" - it may be tonight. 😂
Thank you for the visit.
