And I Thought Yesterday was Slow!!

The Ridge

I was awake when Bill and Gibbs got up on Wednesday, Sept. 16th. It was 10 to 6 and I was very comfortable, with no pain so I didn't want to move. Gibbs came back to bed with me and we remained there until 6:45 when I did my stretches.

Good morning!
A lovely calm day begins

They sure aren't doing anything for my sciatica but no other aches so I guess that is good! Bill was out the door by 7 and it was very foggy when he left. By the time I left Gibbs in charge, it was 7:10 and much of the fog had lifted and the sun was pushing upward with its glorious yellow glow.

One Moonflower today

The Mat was empty the whole time, yay! and I made short work of cleaning, wanting to get back home before I felt any discomfort. The fog was worse in town but was completely burned off when I drove home at 8:30.

A couple of pond pictures

Sure enough, within 30 minutes I was aching again and my foot actually went to sleep when I was vacuuming. I took my folding table down in the back and did a good vacuuming and dusting along the woodwork there. We are ready for the table now!

This low streaming fog is
very photogenic.
I love it!

I sat at my laptop and decided to wait on ordering my business cards......the shipping and tax makes it quite pricey so I ordered 2 other things from Amazon and moved the cards to 'save for later'. I don't really need them for the winter, I don't plan on setting up a booth at all.

As I crawled at 15 km/hr along
Baptist Church Road at 7:15, the
sun was playing hide 'n seek, forcing
me to stop and snap.

I'll revisit that again but think I have enough for the October craft sale. 🤷‍♀️ For lunch, I finished the chicken stir fry from last night since there wasn't enough for two and planned supper for tonight. It has clouded over but it is warm enough outside.

Ptooties is not a Jeep BUT
I love my little fall display.
Harry, my rubber duckie, is from my
sister, Audrey and helps with
directions too!

I've been crawling around on the floor a lot......well, 3 or 4 times the pain has been ridiculous so I've taken my block to the floor (wherever I am) long enough to ease it. Often, it has been 15 minutes so my day is much slower than yesterday! LOL

Okay, a couple of odd sightings today for me.
First, this 'round' or 'blush' of robins
gathering on the lawn for travel?

It does go away off and on, so I'm not trying to sound pathetic and not asking for sympathy. Just recording. After we heard the mail lady go by, we walked down to the mailbox for a couple of flyers. Sure enough, there was another event for Sunday that I would have liked to attend.....but I have other plans.

Donna and I went to this
church on our corner 3 (?) years ago
for apple cider. They haven't held it since.
Now, when I have other plans, it is
on again. Darn!

Gibbs and I sat out on the patio for a while but today it is those little sweat bees, grasshoppers and dragonflies all around us. We came in. Speaking of flying critters, my hummingbirds have vacated so I can bring those feeders in for washing and storing.

                                    Second unusual sighting.

                      This Swallowtail caterpillar felt threatened

by me and rose on his hind quarters.

                      (sorry for my constant movement-amateur)

There was a 'blush' of robins, adults and babes on the berm this morning, a crazy number to see all at once. I guess this is a group planning their trip to the south, trying to fatten the babies up. It was quite neat to see them all together like that.

Inside, I cleared my table etc. out of
the back window area.
Gibbs wondered what the heck Mom was doing NOW!
The pix on the right will be easy to move
when Gord brings our table.
👏👏

When I got the big vacuum out,
someone was happy to get outside.

Bill was home just after 5 and it was a go-go-go night for him. We needed water for our tank so he went to the Acreage right away. When he returned, he grilled our sausages for supper. Regular for him and smoked for me. An extra one for my lunch tomorrow.

Last week, I told Donna my Sedum at home
must be blooming.
It's gorgeous!

Dahlia garden

My second last Hibiscus (?)
I see one more bud in there.

I opened a bag of kale salad for on the side and it all tasted yummy. Unfortunately, he wasn't done yet. The black tank needed to be dumped so he did that after we ate. Better than the other way around if you think about it! 😂 Then, he made his lunch.

We walked down for the mail
mid afternoon.
Mom was hobbling behind and
he waits.
💕

I went back and forth between my chair and the bedroom floor, trying to find relief. I should just stay on the floor on my block, it is the most comfortable!! Ha! I worked on my blog until I couldn't sit any more and moved to my recliner.

The wildflowers along our lane
are beautiful.
New England Aster
Calico Aster
Goldenrod

I don't like taking anything for pain, and Advil never worked so Bill gave me Tylenol. If it works tonight, I'll owe him big time because it is always a difference of opinion. 🤭 Reacher is on tonight but we decided to wait and stream it, there are not as many commercials that way.

Supper was delicious!
I haven't had a smoked sausage
for a while. 😋

It has been a good day, minus the you-know-what and we reached a high of 21C/70F and dropping to 12C/54F overnight.

A memory from 2020 on this day.
I was making green tomato relish!
I forgot that and may just do it again with
those I have left.
🤔
Good night!
