Sleeping in! Impromptu 'Risk'

Park Place RV Park

On Saturday, Mar. 7th, I was blown away when I opened my eyes the first time and it was 7:45! That has not happened in a while but as Bill said, I obviously needed it. From what, I don't know, since I was in bed shortly after 10 as per usual.

Good morning!

It started out fairly calm again so Bill went to the field for the morning. I played my online Wordle and Scrabble-Go games while having my tea and then Gibbs and I went for our walk. The winds had picked up by then, around 9:30, but the day was beautiful already.

The next puzzle is on the table

The sky was clear blue and the 50F/9C had jumped to 57F/13C quickly. I prepared a coffee to take to the clubhouse and walked over to say hello to Sue and then start a new puzzle. I debated over a really tough looking one but changed my mind for this one.

Lila is on board

Bill and I had lunch together, for me 2 sunnyside eggs on keto toast. Kim inspired me yesterday, now I just need to pick up more Daisy cottage cheese to complete the meal. I received a text from Stephanie about an impromptu game at 1 pm so I walked over to join.

Eggs on toast
Yum!

I'd never played Risk before, no had Sue, so 4 of us sat down and fought for our countries together. Sue chose blue soldiers and artillery and the board soon changed colour as she won wars left, right and centre. That was fun, once I caught on and it really does come down to the shake of the die.

Our package from Amazon
provided me with more 5mm strips
for quilling.

It was 4 when I returned to find Bill and Gibbs sitting under the canopy.....at its lowest level. It looked cozy so I joined them under there. At 4:30 we came in and I had my afternoon cup of tea while starting my blog. It has been a really nice day!

This game was interesting
and fun. Some stragey involved
that Stephanie helped me with.
(I'm orange, trying to secure Asia)

As I walked home, a few pictures
of our surroundings.

For supper, we finished up the bit of roast beef in hot sandwiches with keto bread, gravy and coleslaw on the side. Of course, we had more pie for dessert, with cheese on top. Bill has always added cheese to his apple pie and I like it too. I seldom refuse cheddar on anything!

Sitting together under the
shortened canopy.

There was only one pot to wash and Bill took care of that. The night is young, as I write this, so no telling what I'll find to watch. I hope you've enjoyed your day too.

Supper.
Good night.

Thank you for the visit.

Looking After Black Beauty, Fun and Games

Park Place RV Park

On Thursday, Feb. 29th we wake up at 6:30 to greet the last day of the month. Bill was in and out of the shower first thing and then at 7:45, he was on his way to Blythe. Finn Ford called Tuesday that they had the part in for Black Beauty and they could work on it today.

My usual Good Morning picture was blurry
so........
Look instead at this house wren sitting atop the Ocotillo cactus.

In short, it is a circuit sensor that monitors the matter in the exhaust filter, which in turn sends a message when the exhaust filter needs to be cleaned. It cost enough, all in all, but she’s worth it and is quite necessary. 😊 They offered to bring Bill home if it would be a long time in the shop but as it turned out, he was home by 11.

Wootwoot!! She's so shiny!

Bill was there early enough to get BB washed and mostly waxed before they called him in. She hasn’t looked this good in a long time.  ♥ She’s blushing. Meanwhile, Gibbs and I walked and then I went to play poker pool. There were 6 of us today and I tied for second place. I was doing good for the first 4 games and then it went downhill from there!

Hot and delicious w/cream cheese icing and butter

Bill moved BB into the shade so he could finish
the 2-step waxing process

We supervised

I was home around noon and Bill and I splurged and had Pillsbury cinnamon buns for lunch. Oh my, tasty and filling. The rest of the afternoon was spent being first assistant to the Fresh Air Inspector (Gibbs).

in between dozes

We were watching Bill finish waxing the truck. By the time he finished, I could set my hair and makeup in the gloss! 😊 Gibbs and I went for our walk before 4 and then it was time for a cup of tea. I’d been reading my book outside too, in the sun, and it was lovely.

Cuddles with Daddy after a job well done.

There was a wind from the southeast today but it didn’t bother the gazebo enough to warrant pulling the top down. Bill has his night flying this evening but with his lighted planes all packed away, he’ll just go to support others.

A loaded Western

Yummy on keto bread

Supper, when he returned, was toasted westerns for a change and we’ll find something either on tv or in the pages of our books to entertain ourselves tonight. This was a nice day with sunny skies and warm 75F/24C temperatures.

From our back window the sun set without fanfare.
Good night!

Thank you for the visit.
