Sleeping in! Impromptu 'Risk'

On Saturday, Mar. 7th, I was blown away when I opened my eyes the first time and it was 7:45! That has not happened in a while but as Bill said, I obviously needed it. From what, I don't know, since I was in bed shortly after 10 as per usual.

Good morning!

It started out fairly calm again so Bill went to the field for the morning. I played my online Wordle and Scrabble-Go games while having my tea and then Gibbs and I went for our walk. The winds had picked up by then, around 9:30, but the day was beautiful already.

The next puzzle is on the table

The sky was clear blue and the 50F/9C had jumped to 57F/13C quickly. I prepared a coffee to take to the clubhouse and walked over to say hello to Sue and then start a new puzzle. I debated over a really tough looking one but changed my mind for this one.

Lila is on board

Bill and I had lunch together, for me 2 sunnyside eggs on keto toast. Kim inspired me yesterday, now I just need to pick up more Daisy cottage cheese to complete the meal. I received a text from Stephanie about an impromptu game at 1 pm so I walked over to join.

I'd never played Risk before, no had Sue, so 4 of us sat down and fought for our countries together. Sue chose blue soldiers and artillery and the board soon changed colour as she won wars left, right and centre. That was fun, once I caught on and it really does come down to the shake of the die.

for quilling.

It was 4 when I returned to find Bill and Gibbs sitting under the canopy.....at its lowest level. It looked cozy so I joined them under there. At 4:30 we came in and I had my afternoon cup of tea while starting my blog. It has been a really nice day!

For supper, we finished up the bit of roast beef in hot sandwiches with keto bread, gravy and coleslaw on the side. Of course, we had more pie for dessert, with cheese on top. Bill has always added cheese to his apple pie and I like it too. I seldom refuse cheddar on anything!

There was only one pot to wash and Bill took care of that. The night is young, as I write this, so no telling what I'll find to watch. I hope you've enjoyed your day too.
