Far Fetched Dream, Another Great Day, Pokeno Fun

Park Place RV Park

On Tuesday, Nov. 25th it was 5:30 when I first woke up. But, an interesting story that struck me as very odd. Very very odd. I was in bed before 9:30, couldn't keep my eyes open. I dropped off quickly and didn't hear Bill come to bed later.

Good morning!

I woke at 12:15 from a dream after 3 hours of deep sleep. I'm sharing that dream with you. I was in Lisbon, Portugal. Huh? I've never been there nor have ever thought of  going. So that in itself was odd. I was in warm water up to my shoulders with some local ladies in rubber clogs.

While Bill was away, I had one
more picture to add to our
'Wall of Family Fame'
This wall, my children and us.

When I got out of the water, (it is as clear as day), my clogs were still on the bottom of the 'pool'. I asked the 2 ladies if they would hand me my shoes as they were still in the water. They were in a hurry to catch a ride (?) so couldn't help and I left without them.

This wall is Bill's children.

That's when I woke up. I slept the remainder of the night (morning) until 5:30. We told Gibbs to go back to sleep and after he and Bill got up at 6, I dropped off into a dream. I walked into a space, it made no sense to me either, and my yellow clogs were sitting there in front of me. I've never experienced anything like that before and want to remember it. LOL

The beginnings of our family.
My parents on top,
Bill's parents on the bottom.

Bill left for the field, and after my tea, I emptied the fridge shelves and wiped up some spilled wine from last night. Silly me, didn't think about the carbonated sugar free wine that I recorked and laid down on a shelf. It popped while we were outside and half the bottle was spread throughout the fridge. Duh!

Walking back from the store,
this tree was begging to be
photographed in its demise.

I cleaned all the shelves, the fridge needed it anyway. I took Gibbs for his walk, or visa versa and then at 10 walked back to the Family Dollar. Yesterday, I had picked up a binder for Bill and he asked if I could get him another one. I also wanted to pick up something else for Donna's package.

Bill and Ken had a good morning
flying at the field.
Ken's first flight with his
plane. Yay!

We had lunch together and I took my pennies over at 1 pm for Pokeno. It was such a hoot! Sue, Angie, BJ, and newcomers Renee and Leesa joined us. I couldn't stop laughing, Leesa and Renee are such characters. It's nice getting to know them both better. I didn't win the blackout but I still came home with an overflowing jar of pennies.

We were about ready to sit down
to play Pokeno when a Class A motorhome
came in pulling this. Angie and Rusty
checked them in for the night.

At 3:30, we walked next door to have Happy Hour with Tom and Deb on the site in between us. Besides sitting in the sun we were checking out the site our friend, Nancy, will be parked on for a while in the coming months.

Deb was playing shy.

We came back for supper just after 5. While Bill heated up the bbq, I took Gibbs for his walk. We had grilled rib eye steaks and although they were labeled as 'thin' (and they were) they were delicious!

The sun began dropping
before we said goodbye

When Gibbs and I walked,
daylight was also saying goodnight.

Bill cooked them perfectly along with baked potatoes. Inside, I fried mushrooms and we finished the meal with the last of our cherry pie. It was a delicious meal. There no dishes to wash by hand so the dishwasher did the job for us.

This was delicious!
I hope we can remember to buy
them again. We just aren't thick steak
consumers.

It was a great day, I had a lot of enjoyable times. We reached 74F/22C today under clear sunny skies. Our nights are cool, around 49F/9C but that is what we've come to expect. No complains here!

Good night!

Thank you for your visit.

Our First!

Park Place RV Park

On Monday, Nov. 24th the day started out with us all sleeping soundly until 6 am. When Bill moved, Gibbs moved and then I moved. 😀 We're a domino effect some mornings.

Good morning!

Since it was Monday, I didn't make my tea but instead left the house with my hoody and ponco to meet Diane and Sue for our park walk. Long or short, the important thing is that it gets us moving, gets the early kinks out.

I think this will be a quick one,
especially if I have help!

When I returned, Bill had turned our power connection off and left for the field. I had my tea and played my morning games after sending a good morning greeting to my buddy,Pat, back home. It is our own personal 'wake me up'. 💕

When I got back from the pool game,
I took Gibbs for his walk.
He took me all around the outside perimeter
of the park. He was enjoying himself.

At 9:30, Sue, Angie and I played pool. It was fun and we each won a game or two, finishing at 11:30. I stayed until noon and worked on the puzzle at the clubhouse. Renee was in last night watching the football game so had contributed a nice amount. 😊

This is the look of someone who
isn't getting his own way.
He was barking at everyone out the window,
so I closed the blind. This is the look
I get.
"but, but, but, Mom!"

It is much easier than the last two puzzles. Bill and I had lunch and then I got him to give me a lift to the corner of Plymouth and Main St. I wanted to check in at Ironwood Outpost for shipping boxes etc. plus check out a couple of things at Family Dollar.

I enjoyed my walk home from the store
too.

He dropped me off and I had success at the first stop but I didn't find what I wanted at F.D. I walked back home and enjoyed the pleasant afternoon walk.

A couple of sights along
my way.
Interesting sign at the school.

When I returned, I saw that our friends, Tom and Deb, had just arrived. Rusty put them into their site close to us.

I could see the Stinger "B" as soon
as I entered the park and the yellow
Jeep at the office.

I messaged Bill, who was at Jim's this afternoon, that they had arrived and also that our other friends from Ontario had arrived in Quartzsite too.

Gibbs is waiting with Santa
for Happy Hour too

We all met for our FIRST Happy Hour at 4 o'clock. That's 6 of us original rv'ers, those of us who love to come back to the warmth of the area.

Cheers!
Tom, Bill, Ken, Kim, Deb

It was darkening quickly by 6 when we all parted ways. Bill and I came in for supper and decided on meat pies. We had to do some routing in the freezer to find them but eventually, one turkey and one beef were being cooked in the microwave.

Gibbs was making his own fun
at H.H.
Digging under my and Kim's chairs.

They were hot and nourishing and we each had a piece of cherry pie that Bill picked up at Walmart. It is so sweet that I had to add some cream to 'dull' it down. It was quite delicious.

Supper was simple
but delicious.

Bill loaded the dishwasher and we watched some of the 'Everybody Loves Raymond' 30th reunion and then Sheriff Country's latest episode. I had a Murder in a Small Town episode to also catch up on so watched that before bed.

Good night!

This was a great day. A lovely 71F/20C under sunny skies. This is more like it!

Thank you for your visit.
