Finishing More Cards, Quiet Days are Addicting

Quartzsite Arizona

On Friday, Nov, 6th I delayed my time again before getting up out of bed. The sun repeated yesterday's performance, no clouds to create anything out of the ordinary. Could this be ordinary? Ha ha, it's beautiful!

Good morning!

I went for my walk, same route as yesterday, and it took me about 30 minutes before I returned home. Gibbs ran to meet me, once I was close enough, I got a goodbye kiss from Bill and he was off to the field. No wind this morning so he should be able to get more flights in.

I decided to clean out the small, narrow cupboard in the hutch that Bill and I each have. Mine was pretty crammed, he'd already emptied his into the desk drawer. Well, his side of it.🤭 By the time I'd sorted that out, I went through the greeting cards I'd made this past summer.

More originality out here.
Remember the dead tree trunk
from the other day?
🤭

Funny, but I'd forgotten that I had 6 Christmas cards in there so that saved me some time. I prepped a few more and finished another one before making a coffee, it was 10:30, and going outside. This plan means I don't always get my online game of Wordle done before noon but sometimes sacrifices have to be made! 🥴

Gibbs was outside for his prerequisite 20 minutes before wanting back indoors. No sooner had he gone in and Bill drove in from flying. He'd had a good morning and set about charging batteries for tomorrow. Yesterday, I'd prepared the regular cards for mailing but Bill's job is to seal the envelopes for me.

He's sucking on his 'blankey'
in the late afternoon sun,

We had lunch and he did that today after we'd eaten when I went back out with my book. Soon, we'll need to get more stamps. The sun is gorgeous but hot really early, like 63F/16C is hot enough for shorts and a skimpy top. The flies weren't as annoying today, maybe they're moving on. Yay!

I did have to move to the shade or at the very least, sit with the sun at my back. Tsk tsk, right? Not trying to rub it in but this is why we come, right? I know the weather back home is changing into more seasonal temps, as Donna said 'the spring weather is leaving'. 🤷‍♀️

The sun is dropping just
before our supper is ready

When I realized that I had pork ribs out for supper and forgot that cooking them in an oven or on the bbq would take 3 - 4 hours (!!!), we turned the generator on at 5 so Madame IP could do the job. I've been so out of the loop (and so spoiled with the IP's short cook times) that I was unprepared. I'll get better.........maybe.

We were eating the ribs, fried potatoes and  salad on the side by 5:45. It was delicious and all dishes were done on time for us to watch Sheriff Country live at 6. I sat at our desk and finished today's blog at the same time.

These ribs always turn out great.
Good night!

This has been a great day, with 77F/25C for a high and tonight a low of only 59F/15C overnight. I hope you've enjoyed your day too.

Thank you for stopping by!
