Another Amazing Day

Quartzsite, Az

On Wednesday, Nov. 4th we woke up to another wonderful morning. Bill and Gibbs slept in until 6:17. I managed to keep my lounging position until 6:45 after multiple doggie kisses and hugs. They are special, and make our hearts full. 🐶 No dog? I guess you're missing out. 🤭

Good morning!
Once that sun pops, the road ahead of
me almost disappears at 7 am.

I went for my walk, no new routes and when I returned Bill left for the field. The winds have been really low or non-existent early on so he is enjoying himself. I wasn't keen on sitting inside today so most of my time was out in my gravity chair. Gibbs and I started out under the canopy but he soon wanted in.

The sun also makes things
even more beautiful.
Someone planted a tree stump.
🤭

I delved into my J.E. book, The Heist, and got lost in it. I moved my chair a few times, catching rays and just plain enjoying the peace and quiet. When Bill returned before 11, the wind had picked up and was really whipping the canopy 'blind'. so much so that we knew we had to do something about it.

Little babies (20 yr. old ones)
are sprouting everywhere.

We just rolled it up inside and that solved the problem. This canopy was inexpensive (dare I say, cheap?) so is already tearing at the velcro tabs that wrap it around the poles. When it is calm, they can be dropped for more shade. We had our lunch, today omelettes, and then 'hit the books'. 🤣

Walking back, our site is pretty
with a great backdrop.
Bottom picture = our neighbourhood.

It's such a page turner!

The rest of the day was quiet until it was time to start supper. Bill lit the Weber Q at 5 and grilled our bacon cheeseburgers. Yummy, of course, and I had a keto bun with mine. They are delicious and I hope we can continue to find them at Walmart stores.

Gibbs and enjoying the morning.
And.....my toenails finally got painted!

Gibbs is settling in very nicely now, not on the rope or his leash and staying close to us except for wandering off to do his business. Always within sight and we're always right behind him to pick it up.

I love it when we return home,
Gibbs barks first then runs for his
ratty old blanket to show us.
Here he is waiting for Daddy to
finish unloading the truck.
💕

These two are so fun to watch

So, after clean up, Bill started the generator so we could comfortably watch Survivor for an hour and a half.

The sun gets ready to set and
the Indian sleeps on.

Such a cutie.

Things have been good since the sun has returned and graced us with its presence. 🌞🌞 This was a great day and it's days like this that we will miss next year. Hmmm, we don't want to think about that too much! LOL

Good burgers with strawberries
and cream for dessert

Our temperatures for the next 15 days will be above 70F/21C with lots of sun.

Good night!

Thank you for stopping by.
