Let's MARCH Right In, Taking on a Challenge

Park Place RV Park

On Saturday, March 1st we were up and moving by 7. Bill was in the shower before I got up and after Gibbs and I did our exercises, we met downstairs. I love this little guy, the way he almost knows the words 'exercise with Mom' as he comes upstairs to help. i have to remove my glasses because with the additional assistance, my face wouldn't be the only thing that got washed. 😁

Good morning!

I had my cereal with Bill and it was after he left that I made my tea. Gibbs' walk was late, it seems mornings are the toughest for me so I sat and did some more paper quilling. I finished my owl and began another couple of little projects. I need to pick up some card stock and/or shadow box frames. This is just too much fun and I'm really enjoying the craft. When I walked with Gibbs, we had a sad face to see Jess and Jesse's site empty. No surprise, we knew they were leaving in the dark.

Look at these clouds!

Back home, I made a coffee and did some more quilling before I joined Gibbs outside. He is very happy out there by himself, always in my line of vision. Bill was home by 11:30 after his morning flying and then a drive over to Jim's. We had lunch together. We do have cold meat in the house again but I opted for (don't get grossed out) peanut butter, mayo and lettuce on my seeded keto bread. I had it yesterday and it just tasted so darn good that I had to repeat it. It was a childhood favourite of mine.

A walk around the park
and here is an empty site. 😔

My boys went outside together so after a couple of stretches, I took a puzzle over to the clubhouse. I put away the calendar one and opened the box. Oh my! This was the 2nd puzzle that my good friend, Patti, left for me in the fall. I knew it would be difficult and after all of these easy ones with big pieces, it was time to challenge myself again! We only have a couple of weeks left here, yes, we're leaving a bit early, and I want to give myself plenty of time to work on it. It's coming home with me! 💗

After our walk, Gibbs decided
to stay on the patio.
(in the shade)

I made pretty good time, finishing the border with the exception of one piece. Turning the pieces over and sorting took more time! It may be easier than I first thought, but I'm going to enjoy this one. I returned home around 3 and Bill and Gibbs were still out on the patio.

He hardly made a sound all morning.
Good boy, Gibbs!

There is a strong wind today, occasionally, so I moved my chair to the half sun/half shaded gazebo and read our friends' blogs and started a new book. I finished Hot Six by J.E. last night. On to Seven Up and I'm in like a dirty shirt already!

Okay, Patti, this looks like fun!
thank you!

Progress.

We came inside around 5 and I leashed Gibbs up for a walk but it wasn't on his agenda. Works for me so we returned after just a few steps. 😀 I started my blog, supper would be another easy night. Leftover roasted chicken, salad and brown beans. We still have fresh strawberries for dessert. Bill had a movie to watch after cleanup and I knew I would find something once I finished my blog post. It has been working out great, using his laptop but I'll have a mess of pictures to remove from his folders to mine when I get mine again.

Supper was good and just enough
chicken leftover for sandwiches.

This has been a good day. Nothing strenuous and yet another 83F/29C day. Yay! So, here in Arizona, March is coming in like a lamb but what is it doing back home in Ontario?

Came across this today and it made
me laugh. How many times we wish we
could take things back!!
Good night!

Thank you for your visit!

Pulling up the Jacks, Feeling Welcome ♥♥

Park Place RV Park

We woke and got up around 7:30 on Thursday, Dec. 1st. A new month and that is fitting for us to move on and start it in a new place. We went about our regular routine, Gibbs and I starting the day with a walk. Once I dropped him back home, I gathered his ‘poop’ bags together in a grocery bag (TMI?) and walked up to the garbage dumpsters to dispose of them.

It was a nice morning again
with a few low hovering clouds

I took this picture because of the Canadian flag
but look at the background
The mountains are beautiful even when
their not clear

It wasn’t a long walk, so I shouldn’t be surprised that my steps were well below my goal today. When I got back, we had cereal and set to work packing up. It was 9:30 when we drove around behind us to say s’long to the neighbours on the other side of the wash. We learned yesterday from Marilyn that Rusty is an RC flyer too so Bill wanted to meet him before we pulled out. Rusty told us that they were stealing our site. Told ya it was a nice one! 😊

The last walk at La Posa South this trip

I'm glad we were here in November
it was quiet on this beautiful site

I’m sure Bill will see him at the field a few times.

It was nice to see the diesel price had dropped
another .10¢/gallon - YES!
By the time we were set up, even the gas had dropped
to $3.79

Our home for the next 4 months

We arrived at Park Place RV Park by 10 and had everything set up, including the satellite dish, before noon. I had dusted the surfaces and the floors by then too and Bill had our long string of lights set out around the base of the Suite. They look so good and he did it easily enough, being sure that Gibbs couldn’t get tangled in it, that we may do it back home on the Ridge.

We parked out front and Bill went in to register
I snapped this picture of Don and Heather's home
Look closely

I think Dakota spends a lot of time
up there on the dash

Before I go much further, I should mention the greeting we received when we arrived. There are 3 hosts in the park as well as our Managers, Rick and Patty. We only know the Managers and one set of hosts, Don and Heather but they were both thrilled to have us back. Patty, after we hugged, said she had something in the office for me. “Nothing special”, she said. After our lunch, I wandered over to take our 5 or 6 books over to the exchange library and to mail a card.

My new puzzle from Rick and Patty
Fun!!

Patty watched my face when she handed me a 1000 pc. puzzle that her and Rick bought for me. I think she was thrilled with my reaction. I laughed and laughed and told her they were trying to drive me crazy! 😊 What a sweet gesture. Then she showed me another puzzle in their storage cupboard with my name taped on it. It is nice to have made enough an impression for them to remember us and to be happy we’re back.

Gibbs and I went upstairs to read and watch tv
Well, I did. Gibbs slept. 💗

Our site and a pretty sky
in the making

The afternoon turned a bit cool when the clouds took over the sky. It brought me indoors and Gibbs and I went upstairs and watched some tv while Bill watched a movie downstairs.

For supper, he grilled burgers, the ones with bacon and cheese. ♥ They looked a bit funny because the buns were so small but they were messy and delicious.

We topped our meal off with more cheesecake and then watched Dolly Parton’s new Christmas special.

This was a great day, getting into the park where we can settle until our next move on April 1st. Yes, we’re here for 4 months and the feeling is great. No more rationing of power or water, no more generator and much less dust. We’re going to like it here. 😊

Gorgeous!!
Good night y'all!

Thank you for the visit today!

Hump Day, New Month, Premier's Decision

The Ridge

Before I start with today, Wednesday, Sept. 1st , I need to share last night’s beautiful sunset sky. Were we in Arizona? It was too late to add them to my post so here is your morning wakeup!

It seemed to colour everything pink

Bill only had to drive to Durham for work so he was able to sleep in until 7, when I needed to get up. I left the Suite at 7:15 for the Mat. Two customers were present when I walked in and there were 3 machines I needed to test. The change machine didn’t give change to one customer and a dryer wouldn’t take quarters.

I don't think we're in Ontario anymore!

The washing machine I checked had a note on it that it wasn’t working but it was just fine. Other than that, the floor was the only thing dirty - with 8 dryer sheets. Call the presses! I guess I’m a bit bitter still about the ‘whiners’. I left an hour later, leaving a clean laundromat and the floors shining. As much as old waxed floors can shine. 😊

A healthy lunch today with twisted bacon

As I turned onto North Line, I was surprised to meet Bill as he was ready to turn on to Baptist Church Road. I wasn’t aware of his start time, hence the surprise. I had my cup of tea and some banana/zucchini bread warmed with cream for breakfast. I felt a bit of a nosh for some reason. I called the new doctor’s office to remind her about sending our forms. Bill still hadn’t got them. Nice start, huh?

Passed out and very comfortable

It was cool overnight again, and I might have slept better had we put an extra blanket on. Bill had offered to turn the furnace on but that seemed a bit much so I declined. Perhaps he was right? ./;.''Instead of cleaning up the brush today, I opted to work on my cross stitch. I was giving myself an afternoon off. The day was pretty quiet and Bill arrived home from his day around 4:30. We watched some NCIS and at 5:30 I started making spaghetti for supper. It was quite good and a nice change.

While Gibbs was outside on his tether,
he did some weeding for me

while digging new holes in the gravel

After dishes, Bill made his lunch and tried to print the documents from our old printer. I say ‘tried’ because of course it jammed. If we didn’t have frustrations, life would be perfect, wouldn’t it? 😊

I decided to sew Gibbs' bed today and
see if he still wants to chew it
He is a couple of months older now so we'll see

Speaking of frustrations, I admit to being one of those constituents not happy with our Premier’s decision to go along with the Health minister’s recommendation about Ontario vaccine passports. Because we have family and friends on both sides of the fence, I think it is a step too far, a step towards even more segregation. 😕 I know many don’t agree and do not care to open a discussion about it.

I made some more progress on the 'forever' cross stitch

We watched the second half of America’s Got Talent together before calling it a night. Not too many pictures again today, making for a short posting. I hope you’ve enjoyed your day. I did mine!

tonight was Italian!
Good night!

Thank you for popping in.
