A Quiet Day, Help with the Puzzle

Park Place RV Park

On Saturday, Dec. 20th, as we wait patiently for a new season to begin, we were up and moving by 7:15. Of course, I was the sleepyhead, Bill was up at his usual 6ish, with Gibbs.

Good morning!

After breakfast, mine was bananas and cream, Bill's was cereal. I made my tea and after we were dressed, Bill hopped on the cart with Gibbs and toured the park. It was a few minutes before 9 when I entered the clubhouse.

Fresh oranges from Nancy.
Love the one with the leaf.

We had to say goodbye to Tom and Deb today, so I helped them get checked out. We'll see them again in the new year. It is funny to check the calendar and see that tomorrow is the first day of winter - it sure doesn't look like it around here! 💖

So, here is the finished puzzle
with ONE extra piece.
Whaa??

It still feels like Christmas though, with the lights, decorations and music surrounding us. We may not be with family, although some are, but we have friends at every turn. Nancy, speaking of friends, joined me at the puzzle this morning before lunch.

This little guy makes me laugh
soooo much.
I was in the gazebo, he's keeping
a sly eye on me from the step.
Peek-a-boo!

Bill was busy working on sewing the second set of wing bags and until I broke the last of my 3 sewing machine needles, he was making good progress. We'll need to pick more up tomorrow in order for him to finish. LOL Sewers, we're not!

I like how this picture turned out.
Very dimensional.

Nancy and I finished the puzzle after lunch and after 3, Bill and I tidied up the clubhouse. We were home a few minutes past 4. I sat for a while in our gazebo until my tea was done and then Gibbs took me for his walk. 😀

The mourning doves are everywhere here.
Very slow and easy-going.
In the left picture, there are 5 sitting
together. Hard to see, right?

We went to the corner of Riggles and Quail Trail before heading back for home. He may be a handful at happy hour sometimes but he is so much improved at walking on the leash. Especially for a puppy that is off leash for 6 months at home. 💘

I say 'wait' and he waits,
even for a picture.

For supper, we had fried fish. Bill had fries and I had the last section of pepper squash. It was very good and after finishing the cranberry apple dessert from the freezer, we were full. Today was a good day, nice and easy.

I never know what to call these,
but I can always hear them coming.
Wish I could always take good pictures
of them though.

It was a typical Quartzsite day for weather today, 75F/21C, with a few clouds adding ambience to the sky. 😂

Not too colourful,
but tasty anyway!

We watched some tv, Gibbs slept on the floor and I cracked a window for sleeping tonight. I woke up quite warm last night.

It was a hard day looking after the house
today. LOL
Good night!

Get ready for 'winter!'. Thank you for your visit.
