A Saling We go, The 'Eyes' Have it

Park Place RV Park

On Saturday, Dec. 13th the day started out with Bill up and on the move by 7. I was just begining my morning ritual when he pulled out. Today, no flying, instead there were 3 members working on a wall in their shelter area. He packed a lunch before he left.

Good morning!
The sky at 7 am.
The moon waves goodbye.
Are they pink angel wings?

I finished yesterday's blog post by adding pictures while I had my tea. I opened blinds and instantly remembered that it was Yard Sale day in the park. That put a hustle to my bustle and I washed, got dressed and headed out the door with my wallet at 8:15.

An hour later, the sky was
still beautiful.

It wasn't a cold morning, if you were dressed for it, so I wore a fleece jacket with a wind breaker. It was quite comfortable and quite warm by the time I finished walking around. Ann-Marie walked with me and we went back to Arizona Sun's few sales as well.

Walking through Arizona Sun RV Park,
look closely at the dying Saguaro.
Do you see what we saw?

I found a small container for quilling items (earring hoops, posts and googly eyes etc.) and 2 short sleeve, identical except in colour, shirts from my friend Nancy whom I met when I walked the big block last winter. It was nice to see her again and she said the same of me. I spent a whole $7.

I made this for the park model
Christmas guests.

When we got back home, around 9, I took Gibbs for his walk and by then had changed into shorts and lost the fleece. 😉 Bill would likely be gone most of the day, so I finished a couple of card decorations and worked on my little reindeer. He's cute and I had fun decorating him.

This little guy just got cuter
by the minute in his little
orange sweater.
I might be keeping him.

At noon, I had a tuna sandwich and worked away inside with Gibbs until 2:30 when I walked over to start a puzzle. When I came home at 3:45, Bill was home but had a problem with his right eye. Seems like some sawdust had blown into it and after several rinses, it was very painful.

While I quilled, Gibbs slept.

We decided to drive to Parker Hospital and get it looked at. The doctor confirmed it was a piece of wood/sawdust chip but that Bill had got it out and in the process scratched his cornea. 😮 Hence the pain. He gave him drops, which relieved it temporarily, and a prescription.

A Christmas puzzle is in order.
I finished the border before returning home.

We were in and out in an hour and a half. I drove us then to Walmart to fill that for drops and drove home. I was sad that we missed the Santa Claus Parade, and I was not keen driving home in the dark but two things came into play.

The sky when we left at 4:30

Bill is priority and far more important than a parade that we've seen before (he'll be surprised to hear that! (not really)) and the traffic was thankfully light coming in our direction. I did fine but had a headache upon our return. More from missing my afternoon tea and late meal.

A quiet waiting room in
the hospital.
An air ambulance came in when
I walked outside.

We were kinda thrown off our game so didn't feel like cooking or eating a big meal. Of course, we snacked with some crackers and cheese and I had a cup of hot milk since a late cup of tea would keep me awake tonight. Except for the eye incident, the day went well.

The sky when we left the hospital
and it was pitch black by the time we reached
home.

They got their wall finished at the field and I had an enjoyable day at home with our little guy. He got a really good brushing today up on the bed. Tomorrow is another day, what can we get into? We did drop a few degrees in temperature today but it was still lovely at 78F/23C.

Good night!

Thank you for stopping by.
