You Win Some, You Lose Some, Possible Rain?

On Tuesday, Dec. 23rd, 2 days before the big day, I slept in until a few minutes before 7 and didn't get up until 7:30. Lazy, lazy bones! It was wonderful not to have to be anywhere - at - all. 

Good morning!

Bill was downstairs, well into his breakfast cereal. I made the bed, measured the duvet cover since I want a new one, and joined my sweeties in the 'dining' room, aka where the table is. 😅 Today is possibly going to be a day with some rain showers. 🙅We'll see.

Bill was not deterred, since it wasn't expected until 4 pm. He went flying before 8. I just got lazier and sat with Gibbs in my chair with a cup of tea and my phone games in my hand. They didn't take long but then I found an app for a 'real person' Euchre game. I had fun playing, eating up my battery. 

My camera lens was dirty
so I will blame that for the blur.

Gibbs and I went for his walk and then I decided I needed to adorn one more card envelope. My friend, Linda, whom I met at Jess's class last winter and whom now comes to play Pokeno and Poker Pool with us, is the recipient. She'll appreciate the quilled flower. 💕

It's a very nice Christmas picture
and was fun to do with Nancy.

I walked over to finish the puzzle, the tree needed to be finished, at 11:10. I timed it for Nancy's benefit and when finished, reported my time to her. Teehee. Bill said that Black Beauty gave him grief (took a few minutes to start) at the flying field when he was ready to leave.

The sky was like this all day.

 He picked me up at the entrance of the park and drove to Ironwood to pick up a parcel. He didn't want to turn the truck off while he ran inside. I played 'security'. Back home, we had lunch together, where he finished off the taco mixture on a sloppy Joe. I had toast and the last of the homemade strawberry jam. Yum!

before. He had such a bright red head!

In case you are wondering, BB has an appointment in the early morning for an oil change and a check up to see what is going on. We're pretty sure it is a battery but a check up doesn't hurt. Cha-ching! She's worth it, so we'll not grumble too much. 😉 

I think I came home with about the
same amount as I went with.

At 1, I walked over to play Pokeno. I know Deb has gone but I want her to know that I happily played with some of her pennies and came home after a few wins and one of the two Blackouts. My container has been refilled! P.S. Linda really liked her card.

Back home, I took Gibbs for his walk around the park and we made it home within minutes of the rain. Well, the first shower of about 25 drops. It did return off and on until supper and just before supper, we had the most beautiful double rainbow. Pictures do not do it justice.

We watched a Christmas Hallmark movie, I've learned just to accept them as part comedy and part love story, and while Bill dozed through it, I worked on quilling for my 'possible' spring market sales. I won't be making any more Christmas decorations so I pulled out my dollar store finds.

When I noticed the Suite getting brighter
from an outside light, this is what I saw.

Bill and I were totally in awe.

We had baked pork chops for supper, with a salad and I added aparagus spears and cottage cheese. It was good but Bill had to finish my large chop. They still are not my favourite meat source but they werea change. 😋

Today was a good day, they just keep on stacking up. We only reached 65F/17C but still nice. Tomorrow, I will start making the things I need for our Christmas potluck. Stay tuned!
