Oh! What! Fun!

Park Place RV Park

It's Wednesday, Dec. 17th and there may be a slight dark cloud over us this morning........but all is well! We've all heard that 'things' come in 3's. Okay, we should have been prepared.

Good morning!
I cheated, took the picture from
inside the Suite.

We were up as per normal times and I was feeling fine but decided I wasn't going to walk anyway. Just in case. I was having my tea with my vitamins. With a fair-sized capsule in my mouth with tea, the tea went down the wrong pipe and I choked. You think when you're doing this that you're dying......I didn't.

Unrelated to my narrative, the puzzle
is coming a lot, bit by bit.

Bill was making his coffee and knocked his large to-go mug of full coffee over on the island counter. Down the end of the island where the Christmas sits on our coffee table, which is adorned with lovely table runners and various decor. It missed the tree but not the runners, table, cupboards and floor. Clean up on aisle one!

These are afternoon pictures.
My boys outside. Gibbs likes us both to
be out together, so sits on the step - hoping
the other parent will join.
Sometimes, he does relax in his bed.

As he was prepared to leave, I kissed him goodbye and told him to be 'very' careful, remembering the age old verbage. I prepared for my shower and heard 'clack clack clack'. Black Beauty apparently wanted a day off and wouldn't start. I'm no help so hopped in the shower. Her battery was dead but he charged it up and after 15 minutes was on his way.

While I quilled my ornament, I snuck
another peal at Gibbs.
Just like watching your baby sleep,
I love seeing him in dreamland. 💕

It was 9 when I walked over for coffee hour, grateful that everything else was boung to be 'good'. Sue made her cranberry cake (yum) and around 10, I moved to the puzzle to put pieces in until noon. When I returned home, Bill said there was a #4. 😔

The ornament looks different here too.
The dark parts are either shadows or
are hidden in shadows. I like how it turned out.

It was a bad landing that broke his landing gear on a flight at the field. Fixable though but still, it was a 4th upset. The good news is (yes, there is some!) he called the hospital to get our final bill from his visit to the hospital on Saturday. It is a little unnerving when told that it is $450 just to walk through the doors so we expected the worst.

I asked Gibbs to sit still so I could
get a picture of his scarf. (tee hee, not really!)
But he did sit still on my lap for me.

We did not go through insurance (we have a $5,000 deductible), meaning 'self-pay' (their term) so the $1100. was dropped to just over $400. This was great news and we knew we were in the clear again. 🤞 It is a hot day out there and we are expecting it to be in the high 70's/20's for the coming week. Yay!

We had lunch together, a meat, cheese, onion and pepper quesadilla for me and I took Gibbs for a walk. He walked really well and
when I mentioned returning home to Daddy (an incentive) he trotted. So cute!

Bill's plane resting and so
was Gibbs. Look at how he relaxes,
his leg hangs limply down.
On the right, this face gets me every time.

We bided our time this afternoon. Bill went to Jim's for a while to work on his plane and I stayed home with Gibbs, quilling. I'd bought a wooden Christmas decoration at a dollar store back home so today I covered it in white quilling and think it looks just fine. While I prepped tonight's meal, Bill took Gibbs for his walk.

The main event tonight.
What a lovely total wall mural this would be!

For supper, we had chicken thighs in the convection oven so had to add 15 minutes - which I don't understand at all. Anyway, they were very good with Caesar salad. When we buy the already cut up packs of salad, we need to eat them fast. They don't last. I put my chicken in for a 'real' chicken caesar tonight.

With no clear explanation, we do not have tv to watch tonight. That means no Survivor finale.........so, if you find out who wins, please NO spoilers until we are able to stream it. Thank you. Seems like the unfortunate (comes in 3's) is still adding up. LOL

The after glow was pretty too.

Gibbs gobbled his supper up with a few drippings from the chicken pan, so I gave him a few pieces of my chicken too.

This was a lovely, hot day. With no winds, the temperature felt more like 80F/26C than the 76F/22C we reached. No complaints!

I think we'll be putting a dvd movie in tonight.

Two meals in one!
Good night!

Thank you for popping by!

  1. Of course, the sky was a beautiful gold as the sun set tonight and then that beautiful after glow and we were somewhere south of here and did not see anything like that. I really like the quilling you added to that ornament, so pretty. Hope you sets of three are done.

  3. Really like your Christmas ornament !! I bet they would sell
easily if you were able to sell at a Christmas Faire.
I think quilling could become addictive. lol
Gibbs looks so cute with his hair cut.

  4. Glad your choking resolved, and the coffee spill didn’t land on your gorgeous quilling! Also glad the hospital bill wasn’t too horrendous, and Bill’s eye is feeling better. I hope tomorrow is better!
