Sun, Rain, Clouds, Sun (Arizona?) repeat, repeat until Bill Returns.

The Ridge

On Friday, Oct. 6th Gibbs and I slept in until 6:50. I took him out and it seemed relatively mild. Everything was wet though, after an all-night rain (or close to it) and it felt damp inside. I bumped the furnace on for a quick run through before stripping the bed and heading to Durham. The sky was pretty clear, which surprised me, the forecast has read nothing but rain for days.

When I arrived at the Mat, you can see that
the clouds were shoved way down on the horizon.

The Mat was empty for the first 15 minutes and then Mr. Truck Driver arrived and then Mr. & Mrs. 80+ and Friendly. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I know I’ve chatted with the driver before and he asked me when we leave for Arizona. What a memory, I said. He said, I don’t meet many new people. Honest answer. Plus, he’s young. It was nice to talk to these customers, sharing our stories. I finished up with the cleaning and changed my mind about drying our sheets at the laundromat.

Driving back down Baptist Church Road,
where did those clouds come from?

Notice the colours fading?

With the sun out and the sky seemingly clear, they would get hung on the line. By the time I returned home, I’d driven through heavy clouds and the sky looking like rain. LOL I hung the sheets anyway, thinking that the breeze alone may dry them.

I sat with Gibbs for a while, we went outside for him to run and then at 10:30, I left for Williamsford. The Air bnb had 2 nights of overnight guests and more coming on Saturday night. Robin and Andrew are going to Montreal for Thanksgiving so I was happy to step in and clean for them.

I had to stop first at Robin's to let myself in and
get her laundry basket of clean sheets and towels.
She's a busy gal and ran out of time to take them to the bnb.
I don't mind at all, it's on my way.
She has lots of leaves from her one beautiful tree.

I arrived at 11:05. Check out is 11:00.
Look at those leaves? As a child, we loved them!

A picture from the front corner of the bnb.

Back home at 1:30, I reheated the leftover pizza in the convection oven. Wow, that is even better than in the fry pan. I'm not as good at frying it as George was. ๐Ÿ˜Š 15 minutes at 325F and it was delicious. I’d promised M one more run into town for groceries so at 2:15 we nipped in to do that. Durham is a jumping little town on a long weekend, well, any weekend actually.

Some artistic creativity of Robin's.
Cute!

Before I left to take him in, our ‘man of the hour’ texted that he would be home around 3:30. It’s like Gibbs knew because he started watching out the windows 15 minutes before Billy and Bill drove up the lane. By 4, he was unloaded and we were a united family again. Since I’d eaten so late, the thought of a big supper was not appealing to me so I would let Bill decide what we’d have. His choice was grilled cheese so that was easy and mine, with tomato and onion, went down just fine.

Supper, almost too much for me.

This has been a good day and it is nice to have Bill back safe and sound. They didn’t finish the shed (he forgot to get a picture) but at least the framing is done and the clients are happy, so far. We have a Thanksgiving dinner to attend tomorrow so that will be nice to see some family again. ๐Ÿ˜Š

No words ♥♥♥
Good night!

Take care and thank you for stopping by.

Out to Work, Home to Huddle, Bill Returns – Yay!

Up on the Ridge
On Thursday, Oct. 3rd I woke at my usual time of 5:30 after another good night’s sleep. I don’t remember waking up at all so I must have been comfy cozy. With the heater on low, the Suite didn’t get any warmer than 60F/15C and that was perfect. I believe it was going down to 41F/5C overnight. Bill texted before 7 that they were on their way and I sneaked a peak out of my bedroom window. “I won’t be going anywhere for a while”, I told him. “It is crazy foggy out there, can’t see a thing”.

I'm quite bundled and quite pleased with all the mail
Then I got up to use the bathroom and check the temperature. I turned the heater up a notch and looked outside again. Wha?? It was clear as a bell, just as Bill said it was in Tavistock. Obviously, I was looking through the lower part of my little window upstairs and the condensation played a trick on me. So, that’s good! I got washed and dressed for work. As you know, I like getting in there early. I turned the heater down and drove to town.

Only my Polish friend was there to greet me and one other gent came in soon after. I can’t understand much of what the first guy says but he is so very pleasant. I was done in an hour and that was by skipping the damp mop (the floors didn’t need it today) and by cleaning the stainless-steel washing machines. Jamie has great little wipes in a container (you know, like the baby wipes?) that are easy, mess-free and work well, leaving the machines looking like new – almost.

An overdue pond picture
I came straight home today, mulling over what to make for Saturday’s dinner. Carol, Bill’s sister, invited us for an early Thanksgiving dinner and I’ve been asked to bring potatoes. Hmm, need my thinking cap for that since we have close to a 90-min. drive. I know scalloped potatoes are a favourite but such a lot of work and then the concern that they’ll be cooked enough. I’ll come up with something.

Naturally, I want to contribute to the dinner meal. There will only be 8 of us so that helps. When I returned home, the dash from Ptooties at the shed to the Suite sent chills through me. It was still only around 48F/8C and windy. The heater was working well but the Suite had on jumped from 64 to 65F since I left. I layered up and turned it back up a notch.

Kind of  'Keto' Peanut Butter Fudge Bars
I searched for a recipe for potatoes when I was drinking my tea and found a good one. I can easily make that and it won’t use up all of the spuds in our cupboard. We don’t eat them often here at home so it will leave me with 3 or 4, I think. Then I found a recipe (w/o really searching for it) for Keto Peanut Butter Fudge Bars. Hmm that sounds good and even though not all of ‘my’ ingredients will be keto, I can substitute some and make us an edible guilt-free treat. Nice to have a change.

Then with those in the fridge, I boiled 3 eggs for my lunch time meals. I’ve been doing well with my eating this week and want to try and stick to it. While the eggs were cooling, I bundled up and went down to empty the mailbox. The flag was up when I returned this morning but I knew I wanted/needed the walk so drove by it. Our mail lady should be along today again so I better get moving.

Lots of squash cut up and no fingers cut in the process
Too funny, by the time I reached the end of the lane, she was just pulling up to the box. We waved to each other and I retrieved the box full of stuff. Most of it was the weekly flyer package but to get 4 actual good pieces of mail is always a bonus. Two for Bill, two for me. Fair ball. I walked back after a silly selfie and was happy to retreat indoors. Such a wimp! For lunch, I had a‘salad’ plate with a boiled egg like yesterday’s and I enjoyed that very much.

After getting those dishes done, the fudge bars were hardened so I cut them into squares and made little care packages of 8 for the freezer. This works for us and we don’t feel the need/pressure to eat them all within a few days. I still have some fat bombs in there so we do really well with that kind of snack. There wasn’t much else to do so I sat with my book and to read the flyers. I retrieved the crossword out of the Spotlight mag that comes and skimmed through the articles. There was one about Rockwood, Mom's home.

Bill comes home
One in the Newsweek paper talked about them moving forward with improvements to the 100 current residential beds plus 28 new ones. I went on a bus trip to Owen Sound in support of keeping Rockwood open 2 summers ago but I had never really heard for definite what the final result would be or at least I don’t recall. Lots of speculation but it seems they are moving forward and with the growing need for this type of community assistance, I’m very pleased. It is West Grey wide, Owen Sound, Meaford, Markdale to name a few and of course, Durham. Possibly not in Mom’s time, but by 2025, completion.

I read a few chapters of my book and at 4 got up and made a tea. It was a good time to cut up the big spaghetti squash and it wasn’t easy. I’m always nervous when I have a big knife in my hand especially with a roly poly squash under it! Ha ha, I managed to get quite a few chunks, meaning quite a few meals for me and I didn’t nick a finger one bit! Bill called at 4:30; he’s on his way home from Stratford so I should see him around 6, just in time for supper. I went upstairs and stripped the cotton sheets off the bed, replacing them with our nice warm ones.

Sorry for the blur, I snapped these above pictures quickly
There was time to relax for a bit so I turned NCIS on and sat in my chair. At 5:30, I got Madame IP out and when Bill pulled in at 10 to 6, I turned it on and started sautรฉing the ground beef, onions and spices. I added spaghetti sauce and mushrooms and then broke the noodles and layered them on top. Then, on top of that, I placed the inner pot with a piece of the squash with a bit of water. I don’t know if this will work unless I try it. If it doesn’t, I’ll eat regular noodles with Bill. I cooked it all for 8 minutes and then did an immediate quick release.

After Bill unloaded his stuff we shared a wonderful ‘we missed each other hug and kiss’. Now, all is well again in my world. Supper was ready for us to sit and eat at 6:45 and I’m happy to report that the squash cooked well on top of everything else. We enjoyed the spaghetti and because the noodles get mixed after cooking into the sauce, I  ended up with a few on my plate. For dessert, we had Jell-o and a peanut butter fudge bar. Yum!

Delicious!
Good night!
With dishes done, we sat together and began watching our programs from the PVR. I saw that the temperature had increased by 1 degree since Bill got home and thought it was from his presence ๐Ÿ˜Š . Then he told me that he too felt chilled in here and had turned it up a notch when he walked by. The overnight low is expected to hit 41F/5C again. Brrr, but we’ll be warm with those sheets……(and each other).

This was a quiet day for the most part and I’m happy to have my sweetie home for a few days. He says the week went well; he has gracious hosts in Tavistock. That makes me happy to know he is comfortable with Bob and Jo-Anne. I hope you had a good day!

Thank you for popping by!

Busy Morning, Quiet Afternoon, Bill Comes Home

The Ridge

I woke up before the alarm again, around 5 am and couldn’t go back to sleep again. It was Thursday, May 16th and Bill comes home today. Yay! I’d decided last night that I want to start this job from scratch so when I cleaned yesterday, I did everything with the exception of windows and mopping the floors. That way I know what I’m starting with and the time required for each task will be easier to determine.

And I was up before the sunrise
It would have been feasible, saying that, to stay and damp mop the floors as well but I didn’t want to scare Jamie. He might think that I’ll be working 3 hours each time I go. That isn’t the case. So, starting with a clean slate meant that today I was going back in to sweep from yesterday’s use and then damp mop.
Promising, yes?
This morning, I was in the parking lot waiting for the doors to open at 7 and was very pleased that I got the floors done and the washroom cleaned in an hour. I even had time to wipe the inside plexiglass bubble in the doors of the ones used yesterday.

Just a few pictures around the property
The bathroom, unfortunately, is not only used in laundromats by the patrons. We all understand that happens and Jamie looks at it in the way that during open hours, between 7 – 10:30, he is providing a service to the locals. Each time I’m there, I will probably have to give it a wash through. Part of the job and it needs to be clean for everyone.
When I returned from cleaning, guess who was still up in the bed?
Before coming home, one more time I stopped at Foodland. I was hoping yesterday to get Bill some Zero Coke as his ‘cupboard is bare’. It wasn’t on sale until today so I went in and got him 3 cases. Usually, all summer Coke and Pepsi products are on sale a lot but now he is stocked up and we don’t have to think about it for a while. Back home, Clemson was still sound asleep upstairs in the unmade bed. With the sun shining so brightly, I was counting on temperatures rising quickly. Hmmm, not so.

Looking up from the top of the laneway
I loaded some Coke in the fridge and the remaining cases down in the basement and then headed out for a walk. As I sometimes do, I overdressed and by the time I completed my 2 miles, I was very warm with jackets undone and my silk scarf in my pocket. No gloves were needed today. Along with working today, my steps were up and my body tired. It wasn’t even 10 o’clock! I had a piece of banana bread and some milk shake which seemed to fill the gap.

The little furball all coddled up in his blanket
And his nose is tucked right down in for this one
Around 10:30, after ready blog posts, I made myself a coffee. That was when Clemmy came downstairs and hopped up on the couch. I had turned the heat off before I left this morning, well, actually turned the infrared heater to P1 but it was still only 64F/17C inside. Now that sounds warm with sunshine but let me tell you, it was still chilly. Clemson shivered and kept tucking his little nose in under his ‘wing’ so I used his blanket to snuggle him in. Plus, I turned the heater up to P2.

I went searching for the morrel but it was tiny
and past its prime
Every year it returns but I couldn't find it a couple of days ago
The sun from earlier disappeared soon after I returned from my walk. Joy of joys. More rain? A 25% chance ‘they’ say but the clouds make for a dreary day regardless. Hopefully we will at least reach the forecasted 16C.  Clemson and I remained inside for the most part, other than a lane walk to check the mailbox. I missed seeing the mail lady today so wasn't sure if she left anything. She didn't. By this time, I had the heater off again and I utilized my afghan instead. For some reason, I felt chilled.

Most of the day looked like this
and the winds were between 10 - 21 mph in the afternoon
I sat and finished my book and it was a good one. Instead of starting another one right away, I decided to rip out my latest crochet project. Yes, my slippers. They are nice but I didn’t take as much care with them as I had with Bill’s, Bridgette’s and Chris’s. I told Pat last night that they were too pointy and looked like Peter Pan shoes. So, with Clemson snuggled beside me in my chair, I proceeded to ‘rippit’.

Cooked spaghetti squash
Once I had 2 balls, I immediately began doing them again. It is a time passer and really, I wasn’t on schedule for anything else. I was enjoying myself. Before 6, I had one done and the second one started. It looks much better. I stopped there and began my supper. I cut the end off a spaghetti squash, (it was still probably too much), and prepped it for the microwave in a dish with a bit of water, butter, salt and pepper. In 5 minutes, it was ready.

a wonderful bowl without pasta
I had removed 6 of my homemade meatballs from the freezer earlier so heated those in sauce on the stove. I added some sliced green and black olives because I can. When served in my pasta dish, I added shredded cheese. Yum! It was a big serving but I hadn’t eaten too much all day and it was delicious! After dishes I wrote on my blog and while doing that, Bill texted that he was on his way home. It was 6:45. I would see him before 10. Now, I can  settle down.

And if you've never tried the squash, this proves
that you can still twine it around your fork
Obviously, there is no sunset tonight so I’m glad the last few nights were fulfilling. This was a great day, even though Clemson and I were by ourselves. I hope you’ve had a good day.

No sunset, so let's try Geese-party
and they were all getting along!
good night y'all!
Thank you for stopping by!

Early Hill Cut, Clemson Eats! Bill Comes Home

It was 6:30 when I got up on Wednesday, Aug. 15th. A couple of times through the night, I’d woken up and checked that Clemson was still beside me. With large pillows along Bill’s side of the bed, I was pretty sure he wouldn’t try jumping down without my noticing anyway. So, since he was still sleeping I texted Bill that I was up and when he called me, we chatted for a few minutes. He has one more orientation this morning (hopefully done by noon) and he’ll be on his way home.
I watched the sun come up this morning

Inching up through the trees
I couldn’t go for a walk until after Clemson got up and went out for a piddle so I sat and read blogs until about 7:45. Poor baby, I woke him up and carried him outside. But I’m still sleepy, Mom! He wandered around inside and actually ate some of the hard food that I’d put in his dish! I’m so happy! I offered him a piece of cheddar with his last ½ pill in it and he ate that too. Good job!

And getting ready to burst
By that time, I had another plan and that was to finish cutting the grass. Since Clem was happy up on the couch, I headed outside. The grass was still a bit dewy in places so I had to move slower in the long areas but I got it done by 9. So much for my early walk. When I went back inside, Clemson was still sleeping so I made a coffee, grabbed my laptop and camera and went out to the patio to sit. My plan was to use the ‘free’ neighbourhood Wi-Fi if possible. Why not?

Kapow!
Clemson stirred and wanted to join me so he is sitting here beside me on his stool, with my shirt. I plugged the battery in for the mower again, I think the long, wet grass burned it out quicker than usual. That’s okay, I was done cutting for the day. I was able to connect to Explorenet with a pretty fair signal so did a bit of Googling on Facebook and the internet for recipes. I found a good Keto spaghetti/pizza sauce that I’m going to make.

the wildflowers on our walk today
The a/c is still on but there is a nice breeze so I bumped it up to 77F/24C and opened windows. They are calling for 84F/28C so it would be silly to shut it off. As it turned out, the breeze was so unreliable, up and down, that within half hour, the inside temp had risen 5 degrees. I closed windows and bumped it back down. Gosh, just make up your mind, Patsy!

It was a pleasant morning though, now that I’d cooled down from grass cutting and I decided to read a little bit in the sun. This afternoon would prove to be too hot but right now my lounge chair is calling and so is my book. I chatted with Bill for a bit in the middle of his morning job, there is usually some waiting time to complete the whole process. He’s hoping for a 2 pm departure but that is pure speculation on his part.
These clouds are so pretty
After 45 minutes outside in the sun and partial shade, I came inside and made myself some breakfast, er, lunch. It was 12 noon. I scrambled up a couple of eggs, made a tea, toasted a piece of rye bread and cut up two cherry tomatoes. Yummy. I was hungry and that was good!

I’ve also started to make some mayo and the first two ingredients are sitting in the blender for the allotted 20 minutes. I blended and added the olive oil and other ingredients. Then the taste test. Hmmm, there is an overpowering taste, maybe olive oil? I bottled it up and put it in the fridge. I’ll have to try it on a toasted tomato sandwich and see how it tastes that way.

My hair needs attention again, not cutting but the old lady hair keeps wanting to take over. I’m not ready to concede, so after dishes, I looked after my roots. I debated hopping in the shower to rinse but instead used the large kitchen sink. I was pleased with the results again and went outside with Clemson to let the air blow it dry. I never use the hair dryer, well, seldom.

I let the leash go in our front field but he
didn't know which way to go
I spent some time in the recliner with Clemson ‘stuck like glue’ and read some of my book. In my head I had supper planned since I knew Bill would be home to eat with me. In the meantime, I responded to my questioning child by feeding him half of a Cesar pack at 3. He seemed to eat it up without any hesitation.
He has his appetite again
Since it was so early, I didn’t believe that he wouldn’t want more later. He seems to be feeling better as he is back to his old tricks.

Poor goose
I saw a car coming and had to do something
so I pulled it off to the side of the road by a feather

I took him outside again and with his leash, we walked down to get the mail. When I looked down North Line towards the west, it was an unwelcome sight in the middle of the road. I wanted to see if it was what I thought and sure enough, either Mama or Papa Goose had been hit by a motorist. Aaah, that’s so sad. It must have been at night, that would be the only excuse for someone not seeing and slowing down for it.

He still likes his couch naps
I opened the bedroom door to see if Clemson would try going up the stairs but all he wanted to do was look for now. I left it open. As I was fixing his second half of supper at 5, Bill opened the door. I didn’t even hear him pull up. I can tell when I see him, that the drive is tiring. He unloaded the car but not much this time, just his suitcase and the cooler. No Costco shopping was necessary, we’ll be in London next week.

As I relaxed outside today, this was my entertainment
Marilynne called soon after he got home to let us know her move from Stratford to Fort Erie went okay on the weekend and to give us her contact info. We’ll make a point to go see her before heading south.

And I thought it was interesting that the hummer was interested in the nyger seed
He sat and rested for a short while and I lit the Weber and grilled our sausage. I’d par-cooked a potato in the microwave, as a change of side dish and wrapped them in foil. There was just enough caesar salad to share as well so we cleaned that up. When we finished dishes, I worked on my post and Bill relaxed in front of the tv. Clemson curled up on the couch, finally.

I removed the elastics from the book cover
and affixed velcro to the back of my Kobo
and to the cover
It worked like a charm!
All signs of wind have diminished and the temperature is still sitting around 78F. The a/c has kept it comfortable inside and I’m thinking maybe tomorrow we can turn it off. The forecast sounds a bit cooler. This has been a good day, I got the rest of the grass cut and had plenty of relaxing time. Clemson is showing still more improvements, going down the outside steps on his own most times and eating his meals again. Bill made it home safely too. Life is good.

Can't get enough of this little face
Good night from the Ridge
I hope yours has been a great day too. Thank you for checking in!

Waking up with Clemson, Beautiful Day, Bill Returns for a Hug, Special Birthday

I had a nice conversation with a friend from London last night and then went up to bed later than usual. My morning nap yesterday kept me on full tilt and I wasn’t tired until 10:30. My back did need some easing though so propped up my pillows and read my book for 30 minutes. Clemson and I had a good sleep. It was nice and warm in the Suite and with a window cracked the frogs lulled us to dreamland.

My garden is really filling in
Today, Thursday, May 24th we woke at 7 and began making my tea when Bill texted to see if we were up. We chatted on the phone about his day and when I could expect him home. Sounds like he had a good sleep too at his sister’s although his may have been a bit rum-induced. They probably needed that. Good for them, celebrating a wonderful man and a long couple of days.

Not much of a breeze this morning
Freshly cut lawn
I had my tea and read the many comments of condolences by you, my wonderful readers. Thank you for your heart-warming words, it means a lot and Bill sees them also. I caught up on our friends’ blogs before getting dressed and heading out to finish the grass cutting on the hill by the corral. I usually visit Mom on Fridays but with Bill not coming home until this afternoon, I plan to get cleaned up after my chore and go this morning before her lunch.

Where you see stones in the forefront of the picture
That is what I'm about to change
The grass down the hill is what I cut this morning to get my blood pumping
What a way to get the juices pumping! Pushing my electric mower up and down the hill is a sure-fire way. But it didn’t take long and by 9, I was finished and the mower moved over by the shed. I can put it away once Bill is home and moves the Cub Cadet out of the way. I know I’d received at least a couple more bites yesterday but I didn’t notice them around me this morning. I know they are soon going to be history.

Your pond picture for the day
I moved inside to cool down with a rest. It is 64F/18C outside and another beautiful blue-sky day. They are calling for 28C again today. The blossoms on our small cherry trees are out and you can’t walk by without hearing the bees buzzing in glory. These are just ornamental cherry trees but the birds love them when they arrive and devour them within two days.
The bottom blossoms have blown off this tall tree

Sitting having my second tea, the last two days runs through my head. Bill will be exhausted when he gets home but it will be a good tired, knowing he did what he should have and spent valuable time with Marilynne and his sisters. I’m sure he’ll want to check out the generator parts that arrived yesterday but hopefully he’ll take it easy and have a nap. Nice that he doesn’t have to go to work for a few days. Thanks Nicole!

I had my breakfast for one today
I had my bath in the sink rather than a shower today, not for any reason other than a bath was enough. I cleaned the bathroom and swept the floors on the main level and the stairs. I ‘prettied’ up for Mom and drove into Durham at 10:45. When I arrived at her room, she was stretched out on her bed in slumber. It didn’t take much for her to realize I was in the room and gave me her winning smile.

We weren't outside 5 minutes and she had to take her sweater off
That is always nice to see
We didn’t sit long and I mentioned going outside to get some fresh air. We couldn’t find her sunglasses but I loaned her mine and we went out to sit on the bench. It is a real wakeup call taking Mom outside. She is seeing things with new eyes, or so it seems, and comments on the blue sky, the green bushes and the yellow dandelions.

Mom loved the crabapple tree but didn't like the name for something so pretty :)
She couldn't get over how blue the sky was and whispered the word 'clouds' so
as not to jinx it
It was all about colour today and seeing these things with Mom helps me appreciate the little things. It was a great visit and leaving her at her lunch table, she waved me out of the building, as usual.

Selfie

And 'Let's do another one'
Were you smiling, Mom asked?
Before leaving town, I drove to the I.D.A. and picked up more Benadryl capsules and cream. We’re still not done with the discomfort of the bites. Back home, I changed into work clothes and went outside to move some stones to the top of the driveway. It is the spot that got washed out last August in a rain storm. The stones will help it to remain intact, we hope. I’d gathered the stones a couple of weeks ago but hadn’t moved them.

this is the small pile of stones I moved and then dug up
Of course, it didn’t stop there. I got the shovel and started digging up the rocks and stones in the area. This spot drives me crazy because it would look so much nicer if it was grass. It is hard to cut the grass and weeds that grow there so I have a plan.

Some of the rocks I've dug up
I worked away at that job for a good couple of hours and when Bill drove up around 2:15 he said something to the effect of “you sure like hard work, don’t you?” I think what I like is the result and improvement I see at the end. We exchanged hugs and a few tears.
As you can see, three piles of rocks and a wheelbarrow half full of stones is where I stopped for the day
As I figured, Bill opened the box of parts for his generator and put things in place. He can’t test it today because we are all out of gas, but tomorrow for sure. Hopefully, for the low price of $50 we got our new generator fixed. I listened while Bill caught me up on the events of yesterday and this morning. Everything is all set for the visitation and memorial on Monday, so hopefully he can relax now.

Clemson decided to join me to get the mail today

I get a kick out of how he stops when he sees I stop
He doesn't want to walk any further than he has to
While he dozed in his chair with Clemson, I dug more rocks up. We need more water but Bill has had a couple of tough days and didn’t feel like going tonight. We still have over 30 gallons so there is no rush. At 5 I plugged us in and put the lasagna I’d made on Monday in the oven. It isn’t necessarily a meal for a hot day but we need to eat it and tonight was the perfect time. Neither of us had it in us to barbecue.

Sleek back little hummer visits the feeder today
So, it was delicious but I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture. Breakfast was a very long time ago and I’d worked up an appetite. We cleaned up the dishes and I sat at my laptop while Bill responded to messages on Facebook, texts and Messenger. The outpouring of love and condolences is amazing and still coming in. At 8 o’clock, Bill poured us each a rum and coke. This drink is for you, Dad! Cheers!

Look at his long beak
Beautiful sky after sunset tonight

I hope everyone has enjoyed their day. We have had a good day and are reunited again. Today I also want to wish Yvonne, Bill’s oldest daughter, a very happy ‘SPECIAL’ birthday! Live it up, beautiful lady, you deserve it!

Happy Birthday, Yvonne!
I borrowed this from her husband, Dennis', Facebook post
Thank you for stopping by today. Your comments mean a lot to us.
