The Ridge
On Sunday, May 4th (yes, may the forth be with you), it was laundry day as well as my day to clean. Funny how that works out, hehehe. We do plan it that way. I was heavy into a dream but peeked out of it when I felt Gibbs sidling up beside the back of my head and then again 30 minutes later when they went out.

Good morning!
Last night's sunset
was very close to Arizona's
without the mountains. 💗

It was only 6:30, so I dropped right back into the hole. Next I knew, 7:15 rolled around and I zipped through my stretches real quick and got myself moving. Bill sorted the clothes while I washed and got ready to leave. It is Sunday and there is no reason to rush, customers arrive at any time after 7.

The day was starting out lovely
I loaded our clothes first and then went about business. With the sky a bright, clear blue, I decided to bring our items home for the clothesline. According to our weather station we weren’t to have any sun today so this was a bonus. I stopped briefly down town and dropped two bags of Lost & Found clothes at the door of Rethreads and then made my way home.
Bill and Gibbs were outside when I drove in
and I went about hanging the clothes. Felt good to be back to doing that and
knowing they’ll dry. 😊I had dahlias and gladiolas
(couldn’t tell the difference between the bulbs) and more walking onions for
planting but first I started pulling grass out of the big garden and my smaller
one along the corral fence.

Puppy in the periwinkle,
this is the definition of relaxation.

Bill taking the big flag down
because of the winds
I was feeling pretty good when the weeding was done so went up and planted 53 single onions in the berm garden. I’m very curious to see how these fare through the summer and will they do what they are supposed to do? Fingers crossed, I love green onions.
When that was done, a delivery van (Dragonfly) came up the lane around 3:00 with our Starlink cable. Bill just ordered it yesterday from Amazon!
I poured myself a Mtn Dew and Crown Royal and
was that ever a nice drink! Tea wasn’t going to cut it today. 😊
Bill had been working on the roof of his cargo trailer, which leaked over the
winter, and was making good progress on that. He also cleaned up the branches/brush
he cut down by the Hangar the other day. We both kept busy with Gibbs
supervising and sticking near by.
The turtles didn't see me so they stayed
perched right where they were.

I made a tasty quesadilla for lunch but
these Walmart tortilla are not what I call
keto even though the pkg. says so.
22 grams of carbs in just one!
Gerry popped in for a brief visit, which was nice, as he was in the area with his real estate job. I was able to give him his birthday card since we didn’t see him last week. We reached a high of 17C/63F today but the air cooled down by 5, as we sat outside with Gerry. It is only expected to drop to about 10C/51F overnight, which is a nice change. We know it won’t lsta

Besides the top 6 or 8,
I planted 53 new individual onions
of varying sizes.
For supper, we just had hot dogs but they filled us and tasted just fine. The winds are gusty up here again today but nothing near what we were seeing. It is just too windy to hang our flags out without fear of damaging the poles. Bill was able to replace the satellite cable and that guarantees us internet connection and tv viewing tonight. Yay! 😊

Since no one wanted my 2 cowboy hats at the
exchange, I added them to the Birds wall for
nesting.
This has been a productive day for both of us. Bill got a lot of the grass cut up here and I filled the bird feeders, including the two hummingbird feeders. Bill said a Baltimore Oriole was at our window one this morning. I'm ready for him to come back now! And we have clean clothes for another week. I hope you enjoyed your weekend too.

Supper, quick and easy.
I'll need help to get back on that wagon, Nancy!
Good night!
Thank you for stopping by.

Walmart here carries the keto tortillas, which help. I'm pretty sure we BOTH fell off the wagon.
ReplyDeleteWell, these were from Walmart and they say keto but are 22 grams of carbs. Very disappointing.
DeleteHostas are slow to pop out, so you might want to wait before adding to them.
ReplyDeleteStay Safe and Enjoy!
Itt's about time.
My hostas are already popping, I've had them for years. :)
DeleteLooks as if you had a lovely day. We had hotdogs last night (Sunday) as well along with macaroni salad.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We did, thank you. Hotdogs are a quick meal and I enjoy them.
DeleteThank you, we enjoyed the sun.
ReplyDeleteThe green onions are bulbs, seeds don't do well for me. Our soil is very rocky and so I go the easy route. Good luck!
Your sunset pictures look great! The hot dogs do too!
