Day of Puzzling and Doing Nuttin'!

The Ridge

On Sunday, June 8th I stayed in bed until about 7. Because I was so tired last night, I didn't finish my post until this morning. I was in bed within a few minutes of us arriving home. I slept well until 6:30. We had a great time yesterday and last evening. 😊

Good morning!
Our peonny bush took the brunt of
the last rainfall and bent a few branches. 😒
Yesterday they began blooming.

Bill was downstairs taking his time, I think perhaps deciding about flying. What I didn't realize when I got up was that it was quite windy, too windy, so he stayed home. I had no plans today, zero, zip, nada. That meant I could puzzle or do whatever.

They are huge and lovely.

We counted 24 buds
I tied the branches up but it wasn't
a perfect fix.

Bill was in the Hangar until Mike was up and about and the two of them worked a bit on the slide on his trailer. Hopefully what they've done will solve the problem, at least for now. I'll keep an eye on it tomorrow if it rains as forecasted.

When I walked down to get the parcel,
right beside this Mullien plant,
she was busy laying. I was careful
not to disturb her.

The rest of the morning, after Mike left, he went to the Hangar and I worked away in the Bunky. This puzzle is puzzling, ha ha, but I'm loving the challenge. It is certainly different but I like that I can just rotate it on the table to work on the other side.😄

A little further up, I saw this.
Already, a skunk has dug up a nest.
Looks like only a couple of eggs were here.
😡

That was the extent of our day, nice and quiet. I did walk down to pick up a parcel dropped off in the mail box around 4:30. Gibbs and I stretched out in the hammock for a few minutes before supper.

It's really coming along.
I began working from the inside out too.

Nothing extravagant or stressful there, just salad and warmed up potatoes for Bill and ham with glaze. It was filling and very good.

When I came inside for a few
minutes, I told Gibbs to
'wait, I'll be right back'.
When I came out, he hadn't
changed position - at all.
Love this little bum.

This evening will be more of the same. I might find another movie or continue on with my reruns.

Enjoying the hammock together
until it got too warm and he found
shade.

These clouds are so pretty

It has been a good day, with an overcast sky for the most part but some sunny breaks. The winds never let up much but only the gusts around 17 mph would have you holding your hat. 😅

Supper was easy and delicious

My oldest sister, Cathy, is celebrating a birthday today. Between her and her hubby, they have been dealing with a few health issues lately so we pray they can still enjoy her day. 💗

Happy Birthday, Cathy!
Isn't this a lovely picture with Mom?
Good night!

Thank you for popping by.

  1. Your peonies are gorgeous!!! Poor turtles ... I suppose you would be overrun with them if it weren't for the skunks, but it would be nice to see some babies.

    1. I wish the peonies lasted longer but they don't. I would LOVE to see some baby turtles again. Darn skunks, I'd rather be overrun with turtles! :)

Poor turtles, I guess that is the way of nature but I hope some babies are born.
