Happy Sunday!

Park Place RV Park

Sunday, Dec. 21st we were up before the birds, well, 6:30 (ish) and had laundry sorted and started by 7. Bill was headed to the field very soon after that. Today, no flying for him; they were finishing laying the carpet in the pilot area.

Good morning!

It always feels good not to have anything too pressing on my plate, unless I want it to be. Today was one of those days. When the laundry was done, I put clothes away and at 9, Gibbs and I went for a nice walk around the park perimeter.

I was enjoying the playfulness
of the sky this morning.

It allowed me to play a bit too.

What a beautiful day! I was hobbling a bit until then but my walk was a good one. I've a couple of new exercises to my routine, passed on from a blog reader (blurker) but so far, I haven't noticed a change. I even did some blocking this morning.

While we watched tv,
Gibbs grew tired of waiting for
bedtime and went to sleep on me.

I'm not too bent out of shape about it all, I do what I can to feel better and before I know it, all is well. πŸ˜‰ Nancy gifted Bill and I with some Flat Iron steak and when chatting, we decided to start a new puzzle.

Cinnamon rolls for lunch

We went to work on it, Bill returned from the field earlier than expected. He also went to work on his wing bags, as Rusty said, he is a man of many talents. At noon, I baked an 8 pack of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls.......of course, Nancy accepted our invitation. I don't want 2 of us eating all 8!!

Nancy and I started the next puzzle
and woops, really did a lot!

Another walk for Gibbs and then I went back to the puzzle. Bill was still sewing, grumbling at the thread breaking (far too often), and Nancy joined me at the puzzle. This one is going really fast! I'm enjoying her company very much. Not ever do I have someone to help 'set up' the puzzle!

More sky decor

We called it quits shortly after 4 and Bill had already completed his second pair of bags. Good job is all I can say. 😍He did the planning and sewing by himself with just guidance to feed them through. I'm impressed.

Sue's son arrived

We planned steak for supper, thanks to Nancy, so I washed and pre-cooked the potatoes for baking on the Weber. A distraction took Bill away before he started cooking though. Our hosts' son arrived for the holiday and had an issue on his big rig. πŸ˜• Needless to say, supper was late because had to help out.

Sun dogs meaning a change in weather?

And pink mountains to the easy.

I wrote my blog and just had to wait for my food picture before I could publish it. At 10:03 this morning, we welcomed winter and tonight I saw a beautiful sky with sun dogs circling the sun before it set. Such a pretty picture.

These are Bill's wing bags

Supper was awesome! The baked potatoes were perfect and although we've never eaten such a red (bloody) steak before, it was one of the best I've ever had! I stepped out of my norm and really enjoyed it. Thank you Nancy!

A delicious Sunday steak dinner.

A lovely day, 79F/28C, and I'm sure some a/c's were running throughout the park. Not ours, closed blinds and open windows were enough.

What was that on my plate, you say?
Grilled asparagus spears.
I loved them!
Good night!

Thank you for stopping by.
