The Ridge
On Wednesday, Apr. 22nd, I was awake early, like 4:30 am, and could feel my punishment for crawling around on the ground yesterday. LOL Not surprising, my sciatica was rearing its ugly head. I turned and tossed until I was comfy enough to go back to sleep by putting my exercise block in between my knees.

Good morning.
Again, with sunset pictures from
a previous night.
This one was gorgeous!!!
That worked and it was mostly gone when I woke again at 6:45. Did I learn anything from that? 🤭 Well, until the next time I have the need to do it again. So, today on the agenda was only a couple of things that I was involved in.
I had my tea, some oatmeal with a banana, and Gibbs and I went outside. Bill had left us around 9 to go to the flying field and help roll the grounds. It would be dry enough today and shouldn't take too long with two of them on the machines.

So, here he is. Our security guard.
He loves sitting on this hill as he
knows Dot and Caper live over there.
He can see Caper and his friends over there.
I couldn't get too close to the back windows with Lila and the generator on the Suite carriers, but took my Norwex window mops out and dusted them. On another day, I will actually wash them. Now I can at least take better pictures looking east without going outside.
We walked around the property and then just sat together in the King's chairs and enjoyed the sun. Gibbs kept an eye on me, the birds and Chippy, who was playing hide 'n seek in the wood pile. Gibbs sees him a mile away and takes chase immediately. I have yet to see the little critter make it to the seed.

The dogs, all 4 of them will bark
back and forth with each other.
Then he settles in a shady spot.
I'm inside looking out the window.
I came in for lunch after our Amazon delivery arrived at 12:30. Our mail was delivered around the same time and when she brought our replacement ice maker up, we chatted for a while about the new regulation height of mailboxes. LOL Bill just finished putting ours up!

I'm not crazy about the Grackles,
but in the sun, their wings and bodies
glisten in the sunshine.
Apparently, these new mail delivery trucks are that much higher. A letter with proper dimensions will be forthcoming after her supervisor does an inspection next week. Everything has to change, it seems and we'll abide by their instructions if we want to continue to get mail delivery! 😖

I have so much love for this
little guy.
One of my favourite poses.
He is calm, relaxed and happy.
Bill messaged around 1 pm that he was on his way home so when he returned, we hopped in Ptooties and drove to Murray's to pick up Jazz. It was a beauty of a day, 18.3C/65F at its peak and a clear blue, sunny sky all day. Why can't it stay?
Tonight, we are still dropping below 3C/37F and that means a bit of heat while we sleep. Oh well, enough of that. Jazz's brake light was burnt out so in Durham, Bill stopped at West Grey Auto Parts for a bulb.
I parked as well and walked into the Book Store. Sadly, nothing of my craft sold over the winter. Good thing I didn't get my hopes up! I may have to build up on the winter-themed ones for the coming winter.🤷♀️

In Murray's storage barn, we saw this
GMC. We know it was Rob's and now
belongs to his son(s). It was nice to see
it, Rob loved it so.
I dropped my 'found' beer cans at the Beer Store, stopped in Dave's Dollar Store for a couple of greeting cards and met Bill back at home. I wanted funny cards and my quilling hasn't gotten to that level - yet! I made a cup of tea and just hung out until suppertime.

Bill was happy to get Jazz out of storage. Me too! It means some summer rides.
Bill and I had planned on his burgers tonight. But shortly after 5 he lit the Weber only to discover that we were out of propane. So, grilled cheese it is. I was waiting for a text from Robin that she was on her way to pick me up. She needed someone to go with her to take her van in for a safety check.

She is such a pretty bike. The treble clef that Chris had designed on the back explains her name.
As it turned out, she was delayed anyway tonight so we made the plan for Friday night instead. Donna and Gerry dropped in with one last piece of mail on their way home from the Acreage. It was such a lovely day that they didn't want to miss the opportunity to start cleaning up things either. 😀

Following my Sweetie home.
Bill and I closed up the shelter and sheds and he went to the Hangar and I came inside with Gibbs. The packages we received today from Amazon included my blank cards w/envelopes, and an earring display rack.

The grounds around us are slowly drying up. Remember how our neighbour's laneway looked a week ago? I'm sure they're happy about that.
I thought it would be good for selling them.....but, I love it so much, it will probably stay right here at home. While working on my blog, I began watching a movie called You're Not You with Hillary Swank. It's one I saw a very long time ago but there are things I've forgotten. It's a very touching movie and the reason my blog didn't get finished.
This was a great day and even at 7:30, that sunshine out there is so nice to see. Bill came up and we watched Survivor together. I know this weather won't last, this time, so we are enjoying every day as they come.

This last picture might make you want a grilled cheese sandwich. It was so good! Sour dough bread, 1 gr. of carbs. Only in the US. 😔 Good night! Sorry for the delay in posting!
Thank you for stopping by. Your comments are always welcome.
