A Last Trip to Mexico (el ultimo dia)

 Yuma Lakes RV Resort

On Wednesday, Apr. 1st it was no joke that the day was cooler by a few noticeable degrees. Yay! I felt that cooler breeze coming in my window and silently rejoiced. That oppressive heat over the last couple of weeks has me appreciating the earlier days of 60F/15C even more.😄

Good morning!
Thought I'd share some news
from our home town.
The new cruisers are very nice!

So, today, we were up and moving easily. Our plan was to head to Los Algodones one more time for some medications and gifts.

A new view out our east-facing
window this morning.

We left at 8:30 and never met with such a line up going in to the Quechan Parking lot! Everybody had the same idea!

The line up into the parking
lot was crazy!!

Can't argue with their daily
parking prices
Lower picture is the famed 'Trump' wall

We were in and out within the hour, no stop for food or drink, and back in Yuma. I wanted to get a bottle of Crown Royal so we stopped at the drive-thru liquor store so I could pick one up. Now, I have my own CR bag for pennies. It seems to be the 'thing' at Pokeno! 😂

I didn't take pictures as we walked
through the streets but when I saw these
tissue paper flowers, I had to take one.
For Renae. We were just talking about
making these the other day!

When we left the lot an hour later,
the line up was still very long.

Right beside the liquor store was guess what? A Dairy Queen! Although it was the wrong location to honour my bygo coupon, I splurged and bought us each a dipped cone. LOL Wrong day for that!

So, this was a treat on
Rob's behalf. He and I always wanted
to go to Dairy Queen on our
2018/19 travels to Arizona.

By the time we got to BB, they were melting like crazy. Bill stood outside and ate his cherry dipped cone.

Gibbs and I walked
before supper.

Back home, we just got reeeaaalll lazy and didn't need lunch other than a yogourt. We dozed, all 3 of us, and then around 2:30 Gibbs and I visited the dog park.

There are so many sniffs around and yet, in the park, with the opportunity to play with Bailey, George's pooch, they sniffed and growled at each other once and proceeded to sit at the picnic table with us. Such goofy little boys. 🐕

Ooh! Real grass!
A new friend to just
'hang' out with.

It was hot, even though the temperature was reading 84F/26C. We were out for 20 minutes so happy to get back to the coolness of the Suite. For supper, I had Madame IP cook the last small pack of pork ribs with mini potatoes. I cooked vegetables for alongside and we enjoyed our meal.

Supper was good.

Survivor was on at 5 pm (here) so we were ready to watch it. This has been a great day. Tomorrow is a 'nothing' day so I hope to visit the pool at some point. Sounds awesome if the flies don't drive me nutty!

As I look out at the sky tonight, I can see the full moon rising higher and higher. On the news, I see the Artemus II launch and it will be traveling around that same moon over the next 10 days. Very cool!

Good night!

Thank you so much for coming along for the ride. More adventures ahead!
