The Ridge
On Sat, April 19th we lazed around again. Not getting up until 7:30 or 8. Not terribly strange for me but when Bill came back to bed after taking Gibbs out, that was unusual. We had our coffee and tea together and I got cleaned up to run into Foodland. I needed to pick up a fully cooked ham for dinner and a couple of other things. It was quite foggy when I left around 8:30 and remained that way for most of the morning.

| It was a foggy morning. |

When I returned home from town,
I saw our first turtle trying to cross the lane.
I had to stop and carry her across.
We packed a bag with our food contribution, slippers, and our drink choices. Today, was my family's Easter gathering at my nieces home near Hanover. We left at 1:30 and were the last to arrive - for once!

It was a small(ish) get together today, many members have other things going on. Still a great turnout of 17 and plenty of food. It is always a potluck and we just bring what we want to share. Joanne cooked the turkey and was a great hostess!

I didn't overstuff myself but managed to have a taste of most everything on the buffet table. 😃Conversations were light, with a few discussions over the fiasco going on around the world, but mostly just general chit chat catching up on each other's lives. Oh, a fair bit of laughter too place as well. It was 6 when Bill and I returned home to our little house sitter. He is such a good little boy. 💖

I debated having a cup of tea back home but because it was after 7, I ixnayed the idea. I don't need it keeping me awake! So, rather than working on my blog right away, I sat and watched an episode of The Handmaid's Tale, Season 6 Ep. 4 and then fell right into watching a couple of Matlock. With one more left, I stopped and finished my post for the day.

We started our day at 17C/64F and by noon hour we had dropped 10 degrees. It was a cloudy day and crazy that we were dropping to single digits overnight again. We're not out of the woods yet, apparently. There were storms through last night and early this morning but most of it went north of us and I didn't hear a thing after I went to bed. 😁

Thank you for your visit.

I'm going to miss Matlock. I'm not much of a tv watcher anymore, but that show was the highlight. Hold on to your hat, the season finale was a corker!
