Cloudy Day in Priceville

The Ridge

On Tuesday, June 10th I was lost in dreamland until well into the early morning hours. Some of it is a vague memory but mostly, it is long gone in the z,z,z's. I first woke at 6:30 and thought Bill had slept in but he was up long ago and was on his way out.

Good morning!
Last night offered a pretty sunset.

Gibbs still barks when he comes up the stairs to say goodbye, we can't figure that one out. Anyway, after he left, I dropped right back off and it was 7:50 when I next woke up - the same dream had picked up and carried on! Crazy! 😂

It was 10:30 last night, or later, when I finished my program and came to bed. I need my 8 hours, obviously. My only commitment today was at 9:30. I had my tea with Gibbs by my side and played my online Wordle games.

Lunch was good and good for me.

We went out for a walkabout at 9 and I gave him his milkbone to look after the house and at 9:30 drove around the corner to the house of many colours, haha. M's house is more of a shack, to say the least, but it is home for him and he's happy.

I dropped him at the Durham hospital for his checkup and then went for $10 worth of fuel for Ptooties. She was thirsty but I'm waiting until Friday to fill her up. No discounts for gas on Tuesday (only diesel) but on Fridays in June, both are .10¢/litre off! I paid $1.26/litre today.

He goes down the same way.

I needed a greeting card so went to the Dollar Store, then to the bank to withdraw $ for our Wednesday night meeting with the Lion's Club. Time to be 'inaugerated'. 😉 We'll find out in our first year whether it is something we enjoy being a part of.

When I went back to the hospital, it had only been 15 minutes so I parked at the end of the lot to wait. I'd been on the ball when I left the Suite and brought my book along. I saw M come out and, not seeing me a way down there, start to call me.

The sky was like this alot today.
When the sun was behind the clouds,
it actually felt cool in that wind.

We then did his few errands, 3 stops today. Dropping him off, he offered to pay me for the extra hour but I refused, only wanting the normal 'trip' fee. 😆 He needs the break just like the rest of us. Back home, Gibbs was waiting at the door and ran out to check tires and piddle.

After supper, he rings the bell
and promptly goes to sit on the stoop.
My heart swells each time because
I know he's happy.💗

I did a bit of reading until noon hour and made some tortilla rollups with cream cheese and allspice for lunch. I also sauteed the grape tomatoes today. They were quite tasty! After clean up, I went back to reading. Gibbs was on the step outside and heard Bill come up the lane around 2, done early today.

While they slept, I continued to read. You can tell that I was nearing the end and it was hard to put down. I did manage to tear myself away long enough to make dessert; keto custard pudding in Madame IP. It has been a long time for that.

Supper was the last of the ham and glaze, mixed veggies for Bill with little potatoes and cauliflower and squash for me. The custard was great too, it is a dessert that doesn't fail for me. 😍 There were a few pots to wash by hand but worth it for a good meal.

Tonight, I'll see what I can find on tv since I have finished the Joy Fielding book. It's the same as completing a puzzle that I enjoy. I hate it to end and have to wait a couple of days before delving into another one. 

I'm not sure it would work with our
neighbours, Dot and Gord, so
we'll all be thankful that the 
trees around the pond are high enough!

This has been a nice day. We made it to 19C/66F under cloudy skies and had a bit of rain around 3 that didn't last. That was it after every forecast on the radio called for rain showers. That's fine with me, my plants are well watered and looking good.
