Trippin' to Town, Puzzling and Quilling

The Ridge

On Wednesday, June 18th, hump day got off with a quiet murmur. I was up at 6:30 to say goodbye to my sweetie and crawled back in bed for another half hour. Gibbs and I were up at 7 and I know I had a good, no, a great sleep. My window was open and the sheets were clean and cool. 😌

Good morning!
Last night, before the sun disappeared.

Then it went in between these clouds
before dropping below the horizon out of
my view.

I had my tea and yogourt, relaxing with my Wordle games. Before going outside, it was looking mighty fine out there!, I got the Dirt Devil out and vacuumed the Suite. It was overdue, I kept putting it off. A bad habit, I know.

Last night, Gibbs and I went out
after supper to cool off and
I took  a few pictures.

Bill and I disagree on this one.
I've NEVER seen these long droppings
from our tree  before. Bill says he has.
He's wrong (haha) I'm here most days and
cut the grass here.........never seen them.
I'm right. 😂

Gibbs and I went out then and after a walk-about, checking plants etc. I realized that we must have had some rain at some point. My plants were quite wet. Huh! Bill didn't think it had rained overnight as nothing else was wet and he heard nothing. 😴

More beautiful irises

I worked on the puzzle for a while until 9:30 and, at a few minutes before 10, drove over to M's for his town run. We were back in an hour and I gave him the picture I drew. I'd tweaked our Suite with a black marker and like it much better.

It looks more like the Suite now.

He really liked it too and will put it in his 'crokinole' room. If you could see his place, that would probably make you chuckle, but that only means the board is set up in there. 😂 I'm glad he is happy with the picture.

The Corabelle in this little garden,
or any of the gardens never
disappoints. 💕
It always lasts a long time too.

Back home, I had time to work on the puzzle some more and that's when I could hear the pitter patter of light rain so let Gibbs in the house. I puzzled until 12:30 and came in for a quesadilla lunch. It was sure messy but very tasty!

Lunch was good!

Because the rain was unpredictable, off and on much of the afternoon, I stayed indoors with Gibbs. Time for quilling! I have 3 pair of earrings to make, and with a bug in my ear about selling some of my items...........I'm going to continue to make shadow boxes, of sorts. 😀 Only here, in Canada though.

Jess taught us how to make owls.
I think they are one of my favourite things
to quill.
So, I got adventurous with colours
and finished these two, putting them
in the wood frames I picked up yesterday.

Bill was home around 5 and he and Gibbs had their snooze while I quilled away. The little bum and I headed out around 3:30 to check the mail and of course, the rain started as we were approaching mid-point. No thanks, we turned back for cover.

Little old man pose.
Cutest thing, well, one of them.
💖💖

Supper was oven-baked chicken thighs, salad, potatoes for Bill and mashed cauliflower for me. It was good and topped off with custard and strawberries. Clean up was quick and Bill made his lunch before going out to cut the berm. Darn grass!

Supper

I hope to cut my part on Friday morning since the rain starts tomorrow. We have company coming for the weekend, including Mike, hopefully, so don't want to have to do it then.

This is how far the puzzle got today.

We reached a nice high of 25C/76F today, quite humid this morning but eased off by noon.

Could've been a pretty sunset but no,
the clouds took over before it happened.
Good night!

Thank you for your visit. We had a great day!
