Laundry day, Enjoying this Gorgeous Weather, Turtles

The Ridge

On Thursday, Apr. 23rd I was up and on the move shortly after 6:30. Today we decided to do our 3 loads of laundry. Yeah, we've waited for.........um, well since Apr. 9th, so we had a lot in the bag. 🤭

Good morning!
On my way to town.

We sorted together and I drove first across the highway to Sandy's plumbing shop to pick up my keys. I didn't need them until I start cleaning but, heck, if i could get them today, I would be able to take advantage of my 'free laundry' perk. I then nipped into the Mat and loaded the machines.

One stop at Sandy's office
to pick up my keys.

I was alone the whole time and Ron had the place looking good. While waiting for my machines, I picked up dryer sheets and then emptied the Lost & Found box. I know he hadn't taken care of that for a while (if at all) because there were about 25 single socks!

The clothes had a nice breeze
and plenty of sun to dry quickly, smelling
wonderful.

I tossed stained and ripped clothes and put the good stuff back in to be laundered on another day. I'd decided, since it was another blue sky, warm day, to hang some of the clothes on our line. I dried the jeans, undies and socks in the machines as they are finicky to hang.

My earring holder.
I would never have this many to
display and sell at a craft sale.

So, while we're stationary,
my earrings are easily accessible.
I need to start wearing them more often.

Bill and Gibbs were inside when I returned and we changed our plans to go to Owen Sound this afternoon. Tomorrow will work better, I won't be as late coming home in the morning. We need to get our passports renewed and mail a parcel back by FedEx.

I kept the fire going all
afternoon, just because I could.

We received our replacement ice maker yesterday, one day after our complaint went in. They sent the wrong thing altogether! Bill went for propane for the bbq tank and then worked in the Hangar on his new to him plane. I removed all my earrings from my jewellery box and hung them on my new rack. ðŸ˜€

My Bunky/SheShed is looking good!
Right now, my table is in the Suite
so no puzzles for a while.

I was thrilled until Bill reminded me that I would have to think about how to travel with them like that. Duh! I told him to 'button it'.....laughing, but he's right. They'll have to go back in my box before we leave. For right now, I'm still thrilled with the easy access.

I'm happy with how it looks now.

After lunch, we all went back out. Gibbs in the supervisory role, Bill at the Hangar and I crawled around (on a cushion) my little 'rock garden' (as Deb so aptly named it) and removed many of the stones and raked and weeded. It is better for now.

As we walk the lane, all we hear
is plop, plop, plop as they
are skittish and slip into the pond.
The little guy on the right was brave.
He's only about 2" in dia.

I also started a fire in our pit and burned a lot of paperwork.(aka junk mail). Then I sat for a bit, tending the fire, until it was time to bring the clothes in.

I walked down to get the mail.
Gibbs goes part way, the lazy bum.
But thirsty enough for a drink.
Then, he thinks it's a race to the rv.

Then it was time to relax so I brought out my gravity chair and just stretched out in the sun. This is the life. 😉No bugs....yet.

No matter where, he keeps an
eye on us and listens for unusual
sounds. Like dogs barking or UPS trucks!
LOL

For supper, Bill grilled our bacon cheeseburgers and they were delicious. No clean up by hand, so he turned the dishwasher on. I have shows to watch tonight so will finish this post before I get too tired. Lord knows that has happened before!

Bill was happy working on his plane.

Not a perfect picture, but
have you ever heard a
Brown headed Cowbird?
Interesting sound. Google it!

Bill's bacon cheeseburger
Yum.

This was a beautiful day, no ifs and or buts about it. We reached 22C/72F this afternoon with a shadow of clouds that did nothing to hide its brilliance or Vitamin D. Just lovely. I hope you had a wonderful day!

On the left: our new neighbours have
a few fenced in chickens. Interesting.

Things up here on the Ridge are falling into place.

This is in the east pond.
I took it with my Canon camera.
Look at all those turtles!!
Good night!

Thank you for your visit.

  1. If the legs fold down, I would find a box and wrap them in tissue paper front and back. That way you can transfer port them when you travel.
