Not Much Going On Today

The Ridge

The title of today's blog post couldn't be truer. It is Saturday, May 23rd and from the moment we woke up it has been cloudy and dull. The rain started around 8:30, lightly but still rain. 

Good morning!
He didn't move much from thjis all day.

It was quite windy (again) and although the temperature was 12.77C/55F at 7:30, it had dropped to 7.22C/45F by early afternoon. LOL I guess the forecasters can't be called 'wrong' as it came close to what they said to expect. 😟

We had visitors up on our lawn
this morning.
Seems like their parents were on vacay
and this couple were babysitting.
😂

There really isn't much to be said about today, since neither of us did anything outside - well, except for Gibbs. He was out a few times to do his business. Speaking of Gibbs, he was acting a little different today. 

Bill went through our files,
Gibbs slept on

Was it the weather or the fact that Mom and Dad didn't go anywhere. He slept on me, by himself in my chair, on Bill and repeat, repeat, repeat. Highly unusual. I sat at my quilling, Bill went through our bank statements and filing cabinet.

I sat at my desk and made a couple
of projects.
Gibbs slept.

He managed to clean out a lot and I dealt with a frustrating creation. Good thing that I love the hobby! We had chicken noodle soup for lunch with p.b. sandwiches and it was quite yummy. 

The turtle needed
some creative juices but
I got it done.

It seems my cold has decided to hang on as I dealt with a runny nose and lots of sneexing today. Just when I thought I was finished with it. For supper, I deep fried a couple of chicken thighs, fried up leftover potatoes and some mixed veggies.

Rainy and dull all day

The chicken turned out great for my first time doing it that way. We had black cherry ice cream for dessert and after clean up, watched tv. The rain came and went but the winds never let up and the sun never appeared. Wash out day except for watering my garden.

Supper was very good.

It never hurts to have an inside day together once in a while and we're looking for better days ahead. We made an appointment for Gibbs to get his heart work test, meds and flea & tick meds this week. Need to look after the little guy.
