Get Lost!! ?? Garden shots & videos

 The Ridge

On Sunday, June 7th I could hear Bill and Gibbs get up around 6. I rolled over and dropped off for a few more minutes. Well, it was 6:45 when I opened my eyes next. Gibbs and I did our morning stretches and got up.

Good morning!
On my way to Durham.
Strange sky in the foreground
but blue sky over us.
Great day for hanging laundry.
Right?

Bill had already taken the clothes downstairs and had the basket filled, clothes sorted into 2 loads. He's a keeper! Of course, I had to tease that with his brushcut, he was able to move much more streamlined - faster. We laughed about that.

When I got home,
not so much.
Oh well, even though only
10C/50F
they will dry.

I washed and left for Durham before 7:30. I went straight to Battery Pro for a bottle of water and then to the Mat to clean. One lady was loading 3 machines, she's still waiting for her own new washer to be delivered home.

Then I wandered to my garden.
There are things I'm not pleased with
mostly, my poor weeding habits. Neglect.
However, I'm so thrilled with the location
I chose for my veggies.
They seem to be getting all they
need - right now.

There was a lot of 'garbage' to pick up and she kindly commented that 'they' left a lot for me today. Pretty bad when people can't pick up kleenex, dryer sheets, elastics, pop cans etc. Oh well, that's why I'm there. Sandy had left my pay, 21.5 hours worth, in the office for me. Yay!

Even my Egyptian Walking onions
have started getting bulbs!

When I left the place with our spun dry clothes and the Mat cleaned, I stopped and deposited my cash before scooting home. I had my doubts about hanging the clothes because it was a cloud covered sky - completely and hardly a breeze.

Something else I'm proud of.
Our Peonies from London, On.
The transition stages.

Checking the weather network, sun was due to appear by 11 so that was hopeful. They were right, an hour before noon the sky was almost completely blue. I worked on the cd covering I started yesterday and was pleased with the result. I think these might work for drink coasters.

While I checked things out on the
Ridge, my Supervisor/Body Guard
was keeping watch.

For lunch, because I never expect Bill home from the field by noon, I used up the last 3 crusts from our bread. I made French toast. It was quite filling but it was delicious.

Our lilac bush is happy too.
As my Arizona gals say,
that 'Jamaica me Happy' too!
🤭😉
There's an alcohol joke in there.

My 2018 Hibiscus (from Rob and Pat)
is bursting.

I went out to the Bunky, Gibbs wasn't interested in going out again, and that's when Bill came up the lane. He came in for lunch and a snooze and I finished the puzzle.

Corabelle never let me down.
They are also from our London home.

He suggested a bike ride after his nap and I was keen for that! I never know where we're going but it was a lovely day just to go. Bill was thinking a drive to Shelburne, 40 minutes to the east (I think) but when we turned off into Dundalk, we had to change plans.

Here comes the blue sky!
(and the sun)
The main street was closed and there were no detour signs. We turned and kept riding until we came to a paved highway.......and then a turn onto another that turned from paved to gravel. Not fun so we turned around and zigzagged until we got on Hwy 89 towards Mount Forest.

While Bill and Gibbs dozed,
I finished the puzzle.
It's a beautiful picture.

Back in Durham, after a couple of hours, we stopped at the 'new' bnb in town that Robin and Andrew are currently working on. This is the one that was trashed by former tenants. Andrew is home for a week with her so they will be hard at it before he has to leave for work again.

As much as I enjoy seeing our friends, Mildred steals my heart every time. She was donning sawdust chips from her long coat dragging around as they worked. Helping!! I wish I'd taken a pix.

Such a nice afternoon.
Lots of wool in the bottom picture.
You have to catch me first!

A pretty little village called
Riverview. The flowers on the bridge
are a nice touch.

I made a tea back home, after Bill and I brought the clothes in off the line. For supper, I had a top sirloin grilling steak thawed. It looked pretty good and we had one large potato to share. That was enough for our meal.

Then, trying to find our way to
something familiar,
we turned onto a gravel road.
We don't mind our road and Bridgette's road,
we know how far we have to go,
but not unknowns. We turned around.

Oh my, we each had a sliver of the cinnamon buns we bought in Priceville and that whole supper was a yummy success.

While Bill barbecued, this little
sweetie came up from the pond.
We should number their backs because
we saw at least 3 in 15 minutes.
Same one? We don't know.

Supper was delicious.
A Sunday night meal on a Sunday.
hey, we got it!

Today was great, including with the part about Jazz taking us on a joy ride. Getting lost can be fun, adventurous and on a lovely day, who cares?

Hard for me to watch this

                                 without laughing at the leader.

We reached a hot 22.778C/73F by this afternoon, absolutely gorgeous. I didn't see any great sunset last night, was too engrossed in tv, I guess. 🫣 I hope you enjoyed your Sunday.

Up the berm behind the Suite. Not sure where she is headed

but they seldom find a nesting spot up here.

                                                Good night!

Thank you for stopping by.
